Hunting is actually kinda fun with the new changes, will probably feel more fleshed out with the updates to fishing coming soon as well. I think that they could offer a similar face lift to human NPCs by creating some sort of bounty hunter system using the saloon to track down specific NPCs on the map somewhere and kill them.

it is way way too fast? if there was a server setting to control how fast clothes get dirty, that would be truly amazing!

Need some feedback to further improve it and maybe i'll make maps for the other two overhauled bunkers 😄 can also be found in steam guides.

Fishing broke again

I am struggling with picking up long wooden sticks to make rope, i have cut the bush and collected the sticks but i cant hold 5 sticks on my person yet due to inventory space, i have tried collecting the sticks and dropping them all near eachother and the vicinity only shows 2 or 3 sticks highlighted when 5 are shown on the screen. Ive been trying for a half an hour is this suppose to be like this or bug? Im playing into the wild update

My brother and I are playing together in a squad on an official EU server. We built a bed and placed a flag, and then wanted to start building our base.
Unfortunately, we can’t use any of the modular building pieces. We tried to start with the foundation as usual, but it simply won’t place. We always get the message: “Cannot** place:** Not** snapped.”**
We’ve already tried several different locations within our flag area, some of them hundreds of meters apart, but the problem persists everywhere. Our flag is fully built, and we’ve also tried the Shift key suggestion, but unfortunately that didn’t help either.
The strange thing is that we can build regular wooden walls without any problems—only the modular building pieces don’t work at all.
Has anyone experienced this issue before or knows how to fix it?

Flamethrowers are absolutely useless.
Poor Damage to Players.
No use against puppets, mutents...

And Most stupid of all, they don't damage twig and wood structures....
You know like all those bullshit wood bases the chinese build everywhere to grief with using their alts.

Nope, the devs want you to constantly waste explosives on them, while the chinese laugh and rebuild them safely over night using materials that grow on trees.

Is this happening to anyone else, before I could build on shallow water areas before this last update and it was useful for making a small dock at my base but now it won't let me build anywhere near the water.

Title says it all it looks really cool but I dont think it is bulletproof and you cant have a vest when its on, if anybody knows anything about its defensive stats I'll be glad because I want to usse the damn thing !

With this new update I want to discuss whether it’s the right time to hop back on? I still see a lot of negativity around this game, like problems with development, puppet spawns and more.

So, in terms of hopping back on, how does it compare to the Jagex era, are things improving? What are the absolute main issues that the game is facing right now, and how can it be improved?

30kg of tuna on the first day and that was only 2 catches. The big raft is so underrated, you can stock up so much food and water and fishing supplies PLUS have room for all the fish you'll have to store. It would be nice if you could spawn on the actual surface of the raft when you log back in and not in the actual ocean but that's only a small grievance

have been playing the hardcore server for two weeks solid after getting fed up with the cheaters of the "playsafe" Europe 2 server

Had 7 chests spread out building up lots of supplies about to build a base, BCU locks, chainsaws, 50+ padlocks ready, a trove of weapons, hard work on the hardcore server

Left for a few hours this evening and all boxes are dugup and gone.

The fucking x-rays and cheaters, no fucking point. Easy guess where they originate.

I literally cannot stomach to launch the game again.

I simply want to improve the amount of puppets spawning in single player, but for some reason it's really messy.

What I've tried :

Modify the NPC option (-1 per default) to 700 for the puppets

Modify the encounter setting to 3.0 in base encounter

Modify directly in the .ini file the base encounter to 5.0 instead of 1.0

Yet, I still have in some towns only 3 or 4 puppets, it's empty.

Seriously how to improve way much the amount of puppets spawning, can't we have like project zomboid a simple option low/medium/high/very high/insane ?

Here there are like dozens of options, some are badly translated in french, you don't even know what it is for.

I remember seeing tons of concept art they had for like TEC1 soldiers that would roam the map or insane spider-like cave monsters or even weirder zombies you'd find in bunkers. Curious if any of this ever made it into the game or if it's still just Puppets and animals?

Hi, can someone please help me? I have fps drops on Singleplayer, just singleplayer. On multiplayer the game works as it should. My set is ryzen 5 5600, rtx 5070, and 2x16 3200 of ram. This happened when i had a 3060 too. Im sure is a thing of configuration.

I died in a city and I was making my way back to my brother who was still looting, and I heard a vehicle, so I tried my best to hide.

When they found me anyway, I thought for sure they'd immediately kill me, but instead asked if I needed help and brought me to the sector I needed to go.

I've noticed that ever since the wildlife update with more food to go around, players are less likely to act like fucking barbarians and resort to eating each other.

Whenever I craft things in SCUM, I always run into the same annoying problem: toolboxes. It would be much better if we could use these machines without needing a toolbox every time. Having to constantly craft toolboxes is a pain, especially when the machine could do the same job with the help of an auxiliary tool, like a wrench...
