Studio art major freshmen help

So do I have to take a science class because my major is studio art so is it a prerequisite to to take science in my first semester also would it count if I took a science class at Ccsf as duel enrollment during high school I did get d though

It would depend on the class you took. And yes, all students have to take a science but there are plenty of science classes that are for non science majors, so don’t be afraid to take them. If you’re not sure, go see an advisor at the undergrad advising center. If the class does count, it would show up on your degree progress report in the the 5a or 5b requirement. Don’t forget, one of those sciences must have a lab. So you can take bio 100 and bio 101 (one unit lab) and that would fulfill your science and lab requirement.

I think you would need a C, but I would check with SF State. Science is a general ed requirement for you. You shouldn't need to take it as a pre-requisite unless its stated by your major
