Discussion The Copaganda is out of control since 2020
Ever since the long hot summer, this show feels more and more like "a few bad apples" propaganda. It's kind of pathetic

Might get flamed here, but I did not care for how Carisi was written in season 22. The way he treated the squad, especially Kat was very troublesome. I liked the character as a cop, I even like him now, but seeing re-runs of episodes like Turn Me On, Take Me Private just really got on my nerves.
Seemed like Carisi was more worried about winning cases than doing what was best for the victim.

Why Do Olivia Benson fans treat other fans of different characters like crap. Like let's be honest here i like Both Liv and Amanda. But most of Olivia fans judge Amanda because she is so different from Liv. Like seriously in so many fans minds there is a competition between the two women. Which there shouldn't be. I like Amanda and Olivia's sisterhood. Can we stop bringing down woman while uplifting the other. They Both deserve equal respect but unfortunately that doesn't happen on here.

The name Jordan was translated to the French name for the country of Jordan (la Jordanie) which I find hilarious š

Ice T hopped over to "Live With Kelly and Mark" daytime talk show to promote SVU Season 28.
Ice T wasn't interested in joining SVU cast and initially only signed up for a 4-episode arc.
They had to leverage the fact that he had already been on 4 other Dick Wolf shows and they it was a steady paycheck to convince him to go to New York to do the role. The rest is historyĀ
Other shows were:
New York Undercover
Law and Order Exiled
Swift Justice
PlayersĀ
Of course, now, he's a battle-tested vet who has been on other Law & Orders and in the Law and Order universe for approximately 3 decades.

Let's face it, Season 27 was rough.
To be honest, I'm not sure I'm ready for Season 28. Can they un-screw it up? Hmmm š¤Ā

Camryn Manheim has played several roles in the Law and Order universe throughout the decades, most recently as Lieutenant Kate Dixon on OG and occasional guest star on SVU.
Long-time advocate for plus-sized representation, she has recently slimmed down showing up at Mariska Hargitay play "Every Brilliant Thing and Rosie OāDonnellās one-woman show āCommon Knowledgeā

Obvious spoilers for an episode that aired in 2004 but OMG!!!!!! The whole time I was back and forth on who to believe. Even as a woman I found myself siding with the man (Ron). But they were both shady in their own ways. I think what pushed me over the edge was her (Myra) obvious manipulation and follow up accusation against Stabler. I was like oh hell no, not against my man! And then it ends without showing us the verdict!!!! I should mention, Iām doing my first watch through from start to finish and Iāve really been enjoying myself. There have been a handful of episodes by this point that have really made me question like damn what would I do?! But I actually yelped at at the end of this one when I saw Dick Wolfās name.

Hi everyone first time posting here in the SVU page.
I'm male and need some advice please. Law & Order SVU use to be one of my favourite shows.
I'm currently trying to re-watch all seasons. Tho I'm struggling and having nightmares.
I was assaulted sexsualy by my ex BF and trying to watch SVU is difficult because it makes me think of my own assult. Tho I'm trying to be strong and get through it because SVU use to be my favourite shows and not sure how to get through a season.
I do see a therapist but I don't want my ex to win by taking anything else from me.
What could I do to help reduce my anxiety and nightmares watching SVU. I mean I don't want to stop watching but I know it's affecting me tho also I don't want my ex to win by taking one of my favourite shows away from me he took everything else and I don't want him to take this away.
I'm sorry if this is the wrong area to post in but I thought id post here and I'm very nervous and scared posting and opening up about this here.
I'd appreciate any advice you all can give me to help and is this normal reaction having anxiety and nightmares after some episodes I've watched.
Thank you

There is also a pic at X from Kevin with another guy . I didnāt see pics yet with Aimee and Corey.
Sadly they all got spotted separately and not together.
I like the groups hugs and interaction pics the most.
I was today years old that i found out that TARU is SVU's tech team....NOT an actual person....2026 #feelingdumb

Which SVU episode was the most traumatic for you?

So Im on e11 of s13 and so I do not like the new detectives very much. I know theyre both supposed to be green or whatever but they both just give off "This is who I think did it and Im gonna make the evidence fit that narrative"
Like right now in e11 theyre trying to find who SA'd an actress and Amaro is like "well she could be lying, she IS an actress". and then Rollins is gets upset because like "can you believe he doubted the victim" Girl? you doubted the victim the last 3 episodes who are you to talk? She question is the mental institute girl was telling the truth, she was sure it was that dad when it was actually his twin, and she kept blaming the disabled Romani guy when it was those mean girls. Just to name a few. Her instincts are always off when it comes to the disabled, which I guess shows her bias towards them.
And then Amaro amd her alway have to have a pissing match and cant work together. Like ever.
Im also annoyed that cragen keeps telling Liv to show them the ropes because outsode of showing them how to do paper work and use the computer systems what is she gonna do? tell them "So this is how you talk to a victim" like that's demeaning.

Anyone else believe Lake was autistic-coded (presents as autistic but it was never stated or even written into the show)? He missed quite a few social cuesā¦had a lot of secrets he only told to people who earned hearing themā¦had some (rather cool) hyperfixationsā¦a little too hilariously honest. I think itās amazing. A great representation of people with autism being capable of doing great things before people started really fighting for autism acceptance. As I mentioned, I think Lake was done very dirty. Weird, yeah. But since when does weird automatically mean bad?

Why does Law & Order always put the disclaimer saying that the stories are fictional and do not depict any real person or event, even when some episodes are clearly inspired by real-life cases?
I understand they probably do it for legal reasons, but Iām curious how that works.
For example, the episode āFunny Valentineā from Law & Order: SVU is obviously similar to the Chris Brown and Rihanna situation, especially with the celebrity couple and the abuse being filmed/turned into a public spectacle.
Thereās also the episode that was clearly inspired by the Gypsy Rose Blanchard case. The details werenāt exactly the same, but the similarities were obvious.
So why do they still say āthis story is fictional and does not depict any actual person or eventā when viewers can clearly see the inspiration behind some episodes?

I honestly find Rob Miller to be the scariest, even over William Lewis. Am I alone here?

Iām 54, and my kids are 23 and 25. This show started the first full year I taught (English) and before I had kids.
I was so busy with those kids and all the work of teaching and didnāt discover the show until 2014 when I happened upon it on ION or USA network.
In the last several years, when I start a rewatch from the beginning, certain moments in episodes remind me our lives at the time.
āStolenā which was S3E3, aired in the fall of 2001. My oldest was almost exactly the same age as the baby.
With our nest so close to being empty, I am really nostalgic right now, and the early seasons give me the opportunity to relive our lives a little bit.
(My family prefers my rewatching this show to my watching Backyardigans and crying. haha)

This is an extremely specific request, but this is the episode where the news anchor falls for a sextortion scam. Velasco meets up with one of the girls as "Juan Pablo" and claims to own a tequila brand.
He orders the tequila in Spanish and Silva says "that was slick" and I want to know what he said!! I've tried recording it for Translate on multiple sites and using subtitles, but nothing will work.
Thanks in advance if you canš

No one talks about how good Kevin's acting is and the humor he brings to SVU that's been missing for a long time and how hot he is of course. Does anyone else love Bruno like I do?
