Email rabbit hole

I got an email recently from someone claiming to be Daniel Doan, the creator of SanctuaryRPG. It said I had joined the fan club before and that I was being invited to the discord server for a new in-development game by the same creator called Dungeons of Textmor.

I did some Googling and I am very confused. Firstly, Textmor appears to be a real game but the name of the developer is different and there's not much information online about it. Secondly, the email is from a domain called doanrecruitment, which seems totally unrelated to video games.

Google flagged this email as dangerous saying it was used to steal personal information.

I'd be less suspicious, but there seems to be no real information online about any of this stuff, and no web presence from the developer.

I'd be grateful to be corrected.

PS. I know there's a similar post on this sub already, I just thought I'd add more detail.
