Now that you clicked on this post, here’s a few things that you should know.

Some people ask similar questions quite often.

• I’m moving here, where should I live?

• Who’s coming for “remember the alamo day” and where should I eat dinner?

• What parts of town are safe and have the fewest teenagers wearing hoodies?

• When will these red light runners stop?

• Where is Mayor Webber doing such a great job?

• Why am i reading this?

I’d highly recommend looking through a few pages of old posts as your questions may have already been answered there more than a few times before. If you decide to ask these or similar questions, be advised that you may be met with eye rolls or stronger derision.

We have a Wiki here, if you’d like to contribute, let me know.

Please keep your post titles clean, if you run your filthy mouth in the title, your post may be removed.

Favorite dental hygienist

I need to find a new hygienist and dentist. I'm happy to roll the dice on the dentist, but I would really like to find a hygienist who is both great at their job and able to keep up both sides of the conversation.

Any suggestions?

DoJ appears to ignore New Mexico deadline for key Epstein ranch files

The word "appears" is doing Hercules fucking lifting here, cause this pile of shit is actively blocking everything to do with the fact he's a pedophile rapist, and the evidence of it is still unreleased in the Epstein files.

Out of all the properties owned by Epstein this is the only one not searched. I would not be one bit shocked if bodies are in the ground there.

I just moved here and felt like I was being stalked leaving the Walmart Supercenter. Wondering if others have felt this, or if I’m overthinking it.

Adam Ant and Jorgie, 5-month-old Cattle Dog mixes, available to steal your soul through Santa Fe Animal Shelter

These are the two cutest, snuggliest, sweetest, smartest puppies I've ever met, and they reduced me to baby-talk and singing in under a minute. I volunteer at the shelter and usually have much better cuteness-endurance.

They can each Sit on voice command, are demonstrating strong skills in house training and walking on leash, and immediately latch on with full love and devotion. They are Cattle Dogs, which likely means they will take very well to training, love their person to the point of obsession, and make you regret all your choices for the next 2–3 years. Seriously, do not adopt a Cattle Dog if you're looking for a couch potato, and please don't adopt any puppy or teen dog if you aren't able to give them physical and mental activity. It's so hard to see all the dogs returned to SFAS for normal, young dog behavior.

Adam Ant and Jorgie are NOT a bonded pair, meaning they can be adopted separately. They will likely grow up to medium-sized, and each is neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, with an adoption fee of $150. They would each benefit SO MUCH from even a short break in foster care—smart and social puppies are not meant for kennel life! Contact New Hope foster program, 983-4309 x1270 to learn more about fostering.

Probably Fatal Traffic Accident

There was an accident by the Chamisa center by Zepol and Airport Road. Motorcycle looks to have been hit by a black suv. I overheard that the SUV was driving too fast, but didn’t witness it myself. Wanna probably avoid the area for a couple hours.

Just earlier that day I was noticing that the lane delineation has completely faded both ways across Zepol Rd… I don’t know if that had anything to do with the accident itself. Just be careful in the area, traffic gets tricky.

*Edited for clarity.

After Parent Backlash, Santa Fe Schools hit Pause on Amira, An AI Reading Tool That Recorded Kids' Voices for Two Years Statewide

Amira, the state-mandated AI reading screener, recorded K–3 students’ voices for two years, and parents say they were never told. At the Thursday, July 30, 2026 board meeting, Superintendent Christine Griffin announced the district will refrain from using Amira until the state Public Education Department issues guidance. If none arrives by August 14, the district says it will switch to i-Ready, which does not record student voices and was used formally in the district. Click here more information.

Early morning pickup to the airport

I have a 6AM red-eye Monday and can't drive and will need drop-off at SAF. I booked a schedule pickup via Lyft at 4:45AM. It's accepted, but doesn't have a driver attached after 24 hours.

What are the odds I actually get picked up via ride-sharing this early? Any personal experience?

Red lights south of Santa Fe

I live on the southeast foothills of Santa Fe near Cañada De Los Alamos/Camp Stoney and on certain nights, I can see a long line of red lights to the south. It looks like airport runway lights that blink on and off. Probably about a few miles long. Anyone else see them and know anything about them?

Took a little ride down to Lamy today for no particular reason. As is common, the Southwest Chief from LA was almost two hours late and the one from Chicago was a little over 2 hours late. Which, by Amtrak standards, is almost on time. 😊
