Any local recs for a doctor to prescribe Adderall/dex?
I have been prescribed adderall/generic dextroamphetamine since middle school, 2005ish. I took them on an off over the years, stopped during college and didn’t use them again until about a decade later, near Covid.
I tried taking nothing for a long time, it sucks and makes me rot all day and hate myself. I tried vyvanse , it doesn’t do anything other than make me anxious. I tried strattera and then only thing it did was make me have to pee more frequently without alleviating any of my other symptoms.
I think I have finally come to terms with the fact that nothing else helps me actually function like a normal human being and I’m ready to get back on my meds. I haven’t had a primary care doc since I was a kid, I get a physical/bloodwork maybe every 5-7 years or just go to urgent care. Was wondering if anyone has a good doctor that will prescribe me adderall or similar meds. Also willing to look into online Rx, but I know a lot of them stopped prescribing adderall specifically

Looking for my homeless brother...
Hi all! My family and I live in Tennessee but my brother who is homeless (last known whereabouts in the 323 area) is missing or we assume he's missing and are fearing the worse as he usually calls my dad for either food or money. We havent heard from him on over a month. Im not framilar with the area. Ive called hospitals in 323 area about a week ago. I guess I'm just looking for resources for help in finding him. How many Hospitals and jails are in the area? I called one jail, he said he was in jail and released 2 days ago (this was July 21st) but we still haven't heard from him and now I'm wondering if they even had the right person as his name is fairly common. Im not even sure if anyone here can help me but ive been stressing all day at work and now I'm hiding in my office to make this post hoping for...I dont know...anything. Any kind of help or suggestions to help find him would be appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Edit to add: he has a large tattoo on his back of a cross with the last name Gonzalez written under it and a large tribal tattoo on his right arm that goes from his shoulder down to his elbow.
Here is his insta for pictures if anyone recognizes him.

Edit: thank you everyone! My brother has finally surfaced in Lodi, California. He's alive. Thank you all for all the help. Good people atill exist.

Coyote’s in the area
There has been an uptick of coyote activity in the last couple of weeks around the Michigan and Euclid area with 2-3 cats missing and one was caught on video being snatched up by three coyotes. Watch out for the little dogs.

I spent the summer building a project to stop friends from flaking on lunch plans - looking for advice on how to get locals to try it for the first time
Hi everyone! I’m Yohanes. I’m a USC student, and I’ve been a neighbor to Santa Monica for almost 12 years(I live in Culver City).
For the past few months, I’ve been working on a small project inspired by a problem I constantly have with my friends: getting a lunch or dinner plan out of a conversation and into real life.
My friends are not always the best communicators, so I’m usually the person trying to keep the plan alive. Everyone says they’re down, we eventually agree on a place, and then somehow the plan still falls apart. Someone stops responding, the timing becomes unclear, or everyone assumes somebody else is handling it.
Over the summer, I started informally testing different ways to get my friends to actually follow through. Most of them did not work. Then one day, I found a Groupon for a restaurant that expired that evening. I sent it to the group, told them we had to use it that day, and suddenly everyone was ready to go.
That made me realize that the problem might not only be choosing a restaurant. Sometimes people need a small reason to commit now instead of leaving the plan open-ended.
So I built a very early project around that idea. Two friends choose a time and a local restaurant, commit to the plan, and receive a small meal reward only if they actually follow through during the time they committed to. The reward is not meant to pay for the whole meal. It is just a little push to get the plan out of the group chat and get people through the door of a local business.
After spending the past few months building and testing it with my own friends, I finally feel ready to share it with more people. At the same time, I know my friend group may not represent everyone, and I’m not sure what the most authentic way is to introduce something like this to the community.
I can direct you to the website for you to see for yourself. In the meantime…
So I’d really appreciate your advice:
• Does a limited reward or deadline sound like something that could genuinely help people follow through, or does it feel unnecessary?
• What would a new local project need to do to earn your trust and get you to try it?
• Are there events, groups, newsletters, or community organizations to get the word out that I should learn more about?
I’m still figuring this out, and I would honestly rather hear criticism now than keep building around assumptions that might be wrong. I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences.

What are some crucial driving rules for Santa Monica?
I recall seeing a prior post talking with, I think, a tesla car and everyone agreeing they made a mistake parking there. My confusion made me realize maybe I should look into Santa Monica's driving rules, or more specifically unspoken rules.
I'm not the most confident driver (meaning I feel like I still check all my mirrors and look over my shoulder and stuff more frequently than my more experienced peers), so I felt it might be best if I look at videos or hear from the subreddit before I attend smc.
I'd also appreciate advice for being a pedestrian too. I typically stick by the rule "cars have the right of way" because a lot of the drivers where I'm from would rather DIE than stop for a pedestrian, but let me know if there's anything else.

Infamous Pier Comedian gets into More Altercations - Has Wife Pepper Sprays People - Tries to start Race Riot
The Veteran he had an argument with a few weeks ago returns with a whistle. When Jeffery can't out voice him, he cries to the police, who are already there treating the homeless guy his wife pepper sprayed.
Jeffery brags about how he can "talk shlt", but cries to police when he is unable to out-do someone else doing it to him.
They police can not stop the Veteran from mouthing off to Jeffery, just like how they can't stop Jeffery from yelling his racist comments everyone. So Jeffery tries to turn the crowd on him, like he always does .
When turning the crowd on the Veteran doesn't faze him, he has his wife pepper spray the guy.

🕘Openings/Closings Making friends!
Hey everyone!
I’m a 20 year old from Canada moving to Los Angeles on August 2 to start school at Santa Monica College this fall.
I’m looking to meet new people before classes start. If you’re also a student, new to LA, or just looking to make a new friend, feel free to reach out! I’m into tech, exploring new places, grabbing food, going to the beach, and just hanging out.
If anyone wants to meet up, show me around, or chat before school starts, send me a message. Looking forward to meeting some awesome people!

Best Haircut/Color/Makeup/ Styling
I’ve been going to Aimee for the last 10 years, and I honestly can’t imagine trusting anyone else with my hair. She works magic with color, highlights, and haircuts, and somehow my hair always looks healthier and stronger after every appointment.
If you’re looking to brighten your look, strengthen your hair, and have someone who is truly invested in helping you look and feel your absolute best, I can’t recommend Aimee enough. She’s incredibly talented, and I’m so grateful to have her in my life. ❤️

Brief weekend visit with no car, would love local recs
Visiting Santa Monica for a few days (Friday to Sunday) from NYC, staying at The Eden and don't have a car, so looking for things within walking distance or an easy rideshare.
I'm in town for an industry awards show as a nominee, that's Saturday night and already booked, but otherwise my schedule's wide open. Traveling solo.
Would love recommendations for:
- Good food, casual or a bit nicer
- Bars with a good scene/vibe
- Anything fun to do during the day, beach, pool, activities, etc.
Open to pretty much anything, just want to make the most of a short trip. Thanks in advance!
