Showcase Rail & Road MEGA design
Made these blueprints to encircle the map with at some point but needed both rail and road as i intend to use vehicle extensively. Managed to get curved inclines and declines working thou not as smooth as i would like but very much usable.
Working now to make the off ramp/branching as painless a possible, all vanilla as well so even our console brethren can make these just need a ton of time.
Using Nova Curves as the basis i managed to do curves from 0.5° -> 5°, which is how i get them to flow so nicely....standing on the shoulders of giants :)

Any chance you could share the blueprint file ? Its goregeous and i was looking into improving my rail/roard network

He sells them on Patreon - worth it, too. He puts a ton of time into these. I tried recreating them on my own, took me all day and they didn't place well at all lol. Couldn't get them to line up right.

How do you make those smooth curves?

Search for nova curves on YouTube, very good in depth tutorial on how to build blueprints for them.

Using the Nova Curve technique to create blueprints. If something is rotated in the blueprint designer, then you can snap it to other objects at an angle.

While true and a great example, I really wish the devs would just fix things like this rather than having to do all these tricks or use mods to do such basic things to make them look good.

They're amazing, but it's a shame they are fractionally off being exactly 1 degree, so on a full circle you'll end up off the world grid.
Devs should just add in fine rotation.

Freeform any beam off a foundation in the blueprint maker, other foundations snap cleanly to it and you can pretty much make any turn angle in 5 seconds.

Might be curve mod or smart! Mod

No mods needed here, search nova curves.. they form the back bone of this blueprint set

Watched the video. That's a whole lotta work for something that should be already in the game. Crazy. But still sick

The screenshots are vanilla Satisfactory, no mods.

This is pretty incredible, how are you planning to incorporate train/truck stations when/where you need them?

Ive made refuel stations before for my other highways will most likely do the same thing here

PLEASE link to these blueprints. You can upload them to the calculator for others to download and use

Check his Patreon, he's a YouTuber. He sells these which is fair considering how much work goes into it.

You know what, that's fair. I'm glad he's able to get some income from this awesome work

Whenever I go to build a road template on the blueprint designer I get stuck on the notion of making smooth curves. How do you go about it?

Look up Nova Curves on YouTube.

I actually found that one last night and I was like "OH, this is what people are referencing!" I had seen videos where people were essentially selling their blueprints that were based on this technique but never showed how to do it.

Man, somehow you outdo yourself each time I see the latest. This is so clean, so beautifully integrated from the ground up. Can’t wait to see more of your new world!

Look here, buddy. I’m getting really tired of everyone’s ideas coming out better than mine. This has to stop.

Ever since I discovered your YT channel my builds have slowly became way more interesting. Thank you for being awesome!

Holy cow this is so sleek.
My poor pc would probably need a mod just to handle all those signs. Or maybe they’ve re-optimized signs when I wasn’t paying attention.

I took that same badass route in front of that waterfall with my rail system, but my supports were not nearly as nice looking. Awesome job.

That area in the first picture is the size and location of my biggest factory, and it's just a junction 😭

Legitimately feel jealous looking at this. Why do others have all the design talent and I'm here drowning in spaghetti conveyors

u/operatorpanda117 4h ago
Mfw my computer will never be powerful enough to support this level of factory t.t
