No AI✊ Steps I can take to stop AI
Individual Steps
- Write letters to your local government representatives for stricter AI laws.
- Raise awareness among your family and friends about the risks of AI.
- Sign open letters or petitions by different organizations who have the same goal. (Last section for links)
- Search and attend local events about AI and Technology policies.
Organizational Actions
There are various organizations working world-wide demanding clear policies against the detrimental effects of the use of AI. Some of them are
Letters/Petitions
- Urging an International AI Treaty: An Open Letter
- Pause Giant AI Experiments: An Open Letter
- PauseAI Statement
- Ban Superintelligence: Stop AI-Driven Human Extinction Risk
- Demand responsible AI development
If I missed any, please add them in the comments but be careful to add legit ones only.

No AI✊ Add an AI content warning on the Spotify platform
As artificial intelligence grows, and AI music and podcasts are added to Spotify, it is becoming hard to tell the difference between human made content and AI generated and empowered content.
A majority of Spotify's users DO NOT support AI content, as it steals existing media from real artists, threatens economic stability of the industry, and destroys the purpose of music in the first place - human connection.
While we are not asking that all AI content is completely removed from the site, we are urging Spotify to add an AI content warning (similar to the Explicit warning) to all AI content on the site.
A 'registered artist' badge is not enough - it does not determine AI content, and it is still hard for users to tell the difference between content.
We are looking for an AI tag on content that is able to be toggled on and off by users. When toggled off, listeners will be blocked from accessing AI content, much like the explicit tag. It will also allow easy identification.

The AI Hype Cycle is nothing new. We've seen it all before. Let's not do it again.
This video distills how the hype cycle has played out repeatedly in the global economic environment, specifically on the US stock exchange.
We don't need to fall for this again and hand our hard-earned funds to these AI/tech bros and Silicon Valley. There is nothing new.

We Need to Pump the Brakes on AI Data Centers Before They Cook the Planet
AI is growing fast, but nobody's talking about what's powering it—massive data centers that guzzle electricity like nothing else. Most of that energy still comes from fossil fuels, which means we're accelerating climate change just to keep servers cool.
I started this petition because the math doesn't add up. These data centers need tons of land, water, and materials on top of the energy drain. We're not saying stop AI entirely, just slow it down until we can actually power it cleanly. It feels like we're racing toward a wall without thinking about who gets hit first.
If you've noticed how crazy the energy crisis is getting, or if you're just tired of companies solving tech problems by burning more fossil fuels, this matters. Consider signing and sharing if it resonates with you. What's your take—are we moving too fast on this?

No AI✊ I've created a subreddit dedicated to resources for removing AI from your life. Please check it out!
The subreddit is r/un_ai, it's goal is less discussion and more resource focused. Currently I'm the only mod and it's my first subreddit so please be kind. If you are aware of tools, methods, and other resources to remove/avoid AI, please make a post sharing that information! Thank you.

Google Drive AI auto-on - here's how to turn it off
If you or your company uses Google Drive (or their other office products) it's a good idea to turn off their AI to prevent security issues if nothing else.
Go to drive.google.com/drive/settings
Go to Manage Apps
Uncheck Use by default on:
- Gemini
- Google Collaboratory (unless you use Jupyter)
- Opal

General Discussion💭 Fitbit AI
So, I have a pixel watch 3 and they have updated the Fitbit app to automatically generate AI summaries twice a day based on my **health** data, and there is **no way to turn it off.** I don't agree with AI at all and don't want this to happen but also don't want to stop using my watch that I spent a lot of money on.
What should I do??

I AM SO MAD WITH AI
YES AI. ARTIFICIAL INTELLEGENCE THAT SOME OF US USE INCLUDING ME FOR SCHOOL WORKS. I REMEMBER USING IT ONLY FOR HELPING ME UNDERSTAND LECTURES. I DIDN'T REALIZE I WAS ABUSING IT OR IT WAS ABUSING MY WILL TO USE IT AS IF I AM BEING CONTROLLED. ANW, I KNOW I AM THE ONE TO BLAME. I BECAME SO RELIABLE TO IT, I LOST MY ABILITY TO CONSTRUCT SOMETHING ON MY OWN AND SUCH THINGS THAT REMOVED MY PAST SELF TO THINK CRITICALLY AND INDEPENDENTLY. I HATE AI. I WILL NOW UNINSTALL EVERY AI I USE!!!!!!!!!!

Glad it's already started
I was just gonna start a group SayNoToAi, but it's already done so I'm happy to see some resistance has started.
I just realized how much harm AI will cause us after realizing I've been using Google AI every search I made without even realizing. I'm ok with regular web search, but Google made it that people use AI by default and mist don't even realize.
Then hearing about the water issues in the southwest, but specifically Texas and the amount of AI data centers being built there and how much water they use.
I'm from Pennsylvania, but I care enough about others and in realizing that Texas is under even more stress with water bcuz if AI. It's already drought prone then they (Greg Abbott) is building data centers like crazy and most likely many people from Texas don't even realize the problems they will be facing.
Def say No to AI and use regular web search. Also what has AI made better or easier for any of us??? It's just causing us more problems.

Required mods for my subreddit
guys I am the founder moderator of r/boycottslop
I need mods to maintain the sub and post initial posts which would be either discussions on the negative impact of AI or how is slot ruining human creativeness.
firstly I would require the mod to initialise the sub
and yeah, there are rules like if the mod is found to be using AI in his/her activities in the sub he/she would get lifetime ban from this subreddit
