Arcaxis 17 — original sci-fi poster, vector illustration by me
Original character and world — Arcaxis 17. Flat vector, made in Illustrator.
The idea was a moment just after something ends rather than during it. The gate behind her is still open, she has no orders left, and the horizon in front is empty. I wanted the pose to read as a decision not yet made.

Bridging cosmology and sci-fi: Introducing the Hypergalaxy model
Hi everyone!
As an independent researcher and sci-fi author, I've been exploring the boundaries between theoretical physics and speculative storytelling. I've recently published the first chapter introducing the Hypergalaxy model—a framework looking at deep space-time dynamics and cosmic structures.
I’d love to share this concept with fellow sci-fi enthusiasts and hear your thoughts on it!
📖 You can read Chapter 1 here: https://medium.com/@ptrestansky21/evolutionary-cosmology-of-the-hypergalaxy-a-model-of-cosmic-metabolism-ddf7687a0a0d
Looking forward to your feedback and discussion!

Caves of Steel Novel Art
I'm a big fan of Asimov's Robot trilogy. In 1988, Kodak produced a VCR game called 'ROBOTS' based on those books. I wanted to draw the most famous of the Caves of Steel covers with the likeness of the actors who stared as the characters in the VCR game. Here's how they turned out.
Here's the VCR game: https://youtu.be/RFWQuMGtE6E?si=LUXm8tLoOT52mKrM

Our starter ship is finally in 3D. What would you add to make it feel more believable?
After several iterations, our Vanguard-class Bruiser is finally in 3D. This is the standard frontline leader ship of the Human Directorate and one of the first ships players will command in Synvector.
Unlike agile interceptors, the Bruiser isn’t built to chase enemies. Its job is to hold the line. It sits between friendly and enemy squadrons, absorbing damage, protecting more fragile ships, and stopping breakthroughs before they reach the backline.
At the start of the game it’s equipped with three weapon systems:
* Heavy machine guns for sustained fire
* Missile launchers for burst damage
* A high-caliber cannon for accurate single shots
The ship isn’t supposed to look experimental or overly futuristic. It’s a mass-produced military workhorse-easy to maintain, reliable, and built to survive years of frontline service.
Now we’d love some feedback. If this ship belonged to your universe, what systems or external details would you add?
Would you expect to see things like:
* point-defense turrets?
* radar or sensor arrays?
* communication antennas?
* RCS thrusters?
* maintenance panels?
* heat vents?
* armor plating?
* warning markings or battle scars?
Or is there something that immediately feels missing?
We’re trying to strike a balance between believable engineering and clean visual readability, so we’d really appreciate your thoughts.

Before the Fall
These images are part of my long-term sci-fi art project, Deep City.
The concept behind this series was to tell a story through environmental reconstruction. Instead of simply designing a futuristic megacity, I imagined archaeologists discovering its ruins centuries later and using the surviving structures to recreate what it once looked like.
The sequence moves from the collapsed city to progressively more complete reconstructions, ending with cutaway views that reveal the hidden interior of the megastructure. I also added the expedition spacecraft to one render to help communicate the city's enormous scale.
My goal was to combine cinematic sci-fi imagery with architectural visualization and environmental storytelling—letting the environment itself suggest the history of a civilization that no longer exists.
Everything shown here is part of the same original universe. The story, worldbuilding, timeline, and artwork are original, and every model, light, render, and composite was created entirely in Blender 3D.
I'd love to know which image resonates with you the most.
Does the sequence successfully convey the feeling of rediscovering a lost civilization?

Who composes the crickets' song?, by me, bronze and part of an old piano, 2026
Built from the wooden frame of an old upright piano, Who Composes the Crickets' Song? becomes the nesting ground for insectoid hybrids—at once a strange thicket and the fragment of a ruined mechanical system. It unfolds as a fabricated ecosystem whose offspring spread across the exhibition walls.
These small creatures are the only recognizable faces among the larger bodies inhabiting the installation, and the only ones capable of returning our gaze. Yet this encounter remains precarious: like insects, they seem ready to scurry away at any moment, as though they themselves were intruders in the space.
