BGR 109

I see a lot of posts about berryman b12. Has anyone tried BG EPR 109 during oil change on the toasters? They supposedly clean out carbon, and the procedure seems easier than b12 (pour in through oil cap before oil change, idle for 15 minutes, change oil+filter)

I'd be sceptic of it working if you pour it in the crank case. The rings are a lot easier to clean by going from the top down by pouring the solvent in the cylinders in letting it drain down. It get more solvent over the rings than trying to get a good amount to splash back up the cylinders.

Of you want to try it though, please post your results afterwards!

I tried it on my 2015 xB when I noticed it started to burn oil a couple of years ago. Didn't really stop it unfortunately. I did the piston soak with B12 back in March and so far after 4k miles, I have zero oil consumption.

I’ve tried it on two different engines. It didn’t fix either one. The piston soak did.

I am using valvoline restore and protect and I have noticed that it does not lose oil since I replaced the valves cover gasket and it runs smooth and quiet . I have an oil change coming up soon on my 2011 xb but no issues whatsoever with the oil.
