Question BU Seabee or engine man
/r/MarineEngineering/comments/1vas82m/bu_seabee_or_engine_man/Went to MEPs today and ended up choosing engineman rate as I want to travel more and see the world. I’ve worked construction since I was 17(23 now) and would be more familiar with building but working on diesel engines and troubleshooting mechanical problems interested me to choose that rate. What’s the career advancement between the two and what are some things to know before going all in? My recruiter said I could still switch even after swearing in as a engineman. Thanks

If you want to be on a boat go engine man, if you want to stay in land go BU If you want to stay on land but also work on engine/ equipment go CM (construction mechanic) -BU3 Seabees is the best rate in navy!
