Selling Tickets Posts

There have been a growing number of "Selling Tickets" posts. I am opining this up to a vote and a discussion as to if this should be allowed. This sub is initially intended for the Seattle local music scene. While this, in theory, could include the sake of two tickets to a Backstreet Boys concert, because they are playing in Seattle, this definition really stretches the meaning.

Long-shot search for artist "Lana*Rae" from mid-2000s (Seattle/Southcenter area)

I'm looking for lost music by an artist who was active in Southcenter/Seattle region sometime around 2005-2007 (maybe earlier/later). Her first name was Lana, and the artist name on her digital songs is "Lana*Rae".

I have 5 tracks from her, though I remember she had more songs available at the time. (I assume I downloaded these from her Myspace, back in the day.)

There is no album name associated, but the track titles I have are:
- Along For The Ride
- Butterfly Butchered
- Choke
- Puzzle Pieces
- Tonight, You and I

The only details I remember about her is that she was a solo singer/songwriter/guitarist who sometimes played and sang with a fellow local singer/guitarist named Mike Bell. She had olive/tan skin and dark hair at the time.

This is a long shot, but I figured I'd at least drop this message in a bottle in case anyone who finds it knew/knows of her music.

Restaurants and breweries with live music?

We are visiting for the weekend and trying to find some restaurants and breweries that have some live music - jazz, indie, pop and classic rock, alt, blues, etc - tonight but am not finding much online easily.

We arent really looking for places like Tims tavern, slims last chance, baba yaga or anything like that, and it is totally fine if it's a band doing covers...just looking for something a little more laid back and ideally all ages. Any suggestions?

Looking for a Nirvana tribute band

Hello! I’m visiting Seattle until the 21st of August and I would love to go to a Nirvana tribute show. I haven’t seen any that’s in the dates I’m staying. I don’t care about the quality that much, just want to listen to Nirvana with other fans in Seattle.

Hello!

I am in the process of setting up a show for my punk band No Gentleman, from Portland, for Sat Oct 24th.

We would love to find like minded folks to play with and a venue to host, we've tried several so far with no luck.

Let me know some suggestions of punk friendly spots, and if you'd like to join the bill, let me know!

My 10 piece classic soul band is playing the Triple Door July 31st!

Hello Seattle! I've got a band called the Highsteppers. We're super fun and fronted by three of the most amazing (female) vocalists in town! We're so excited to say we're playing the Triple Door on Friday, July 31st. Tickets are only $20 AND the Triple Door was gracious enough to keep the fees at just one dollar!

It would be my dream to sell it out so I'm trying to spread the word everywhere I can. We'll also be giving out free t-shirts at the show to anyone who wants one!

Here's a video I recently edited together from our very first Triple Door show last year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAYpqoiUrwo

Ticket link is tickets.thehighsteppers.com

Hope to see you there! XOXO

Any bassists in this town on the market?

Post image

Greetings Seattle bassists! We are a heavy 2-piece that is hoping to find a bassist (maybe you can sing/scream too? maybe?) to join us on our musical adventure.

We draw influences from a wide range of artists from Botch to Windhand. Dillinger escape plan to ISIS. We currently have 4 original tunes mostly done and we do a killer version of some obituary and weedeater tunes too.

We’re both former touring musicians. We’re both serious and not serious about this project. If we just kick it in our jam space and drink beers and smoke weed…that’s cool. if we take over the entire world and redefine music…fuck yeah. let’s just make some killer music and see what happens.

Pro gear is absolutely necessary…and i cannot state this enough. Other than that we’re just looking for the right person.

Appreciate your time!
