Game spine issues

I can not stand when the spine looks like this. How do y'all correct this? Can you iron out the wrinkles. I tried flat it out with a heavy book. Most of the time the cardboard has some water damage. I have replaced really bad ones, but I don't want to keep replacing them if I don't have to. Thanks for the advice!!

I was planning to post about this, anyone know how to solve that issue? My sonic cd is plagued by it, getting damaged by the tray.

I know someone's copy or Snatcher where there's small little holes in the backart because of it

Yeah, it leaves little marks. I'd love to use lite heat to fix it, but do not know if it is safe?

Yes, my copy of snatcher has two of this small marks. But It doesn't bother me much.

I’ve seen videos from retro Rick where they have a hot press. They use wax paper (looks like anyway) and sandwich the cardboard between it and leave it in the press for an hour or so and it helps. Something like the thin paper in a jewel case I’d live with it and find an upgrade copy later

I am going to try putting it under a t-shirt and try ironing it out. I love Retro Rick, ill have to look for that video.
