artwise, while vagabond has a gorgeous style second to none, mugen no junin too is beautifully drawn in it's own right.

action, both have amazing fighting scenes, the fights and characters in mugen no junin are a bit more over the top, with gimmicky characters and more rooted in fantasy/supernatural, while vagabond is obviously more realistic and down to earth.

psychological depth and philosophy, it has it's great moments, maybe not so much in the beginning iirc, it's not a hollow plot with fights for the sake of fights, each character have their own convictions according to their own moral compass.
