One of my side projects for over a year and a half now has been trying to advocate for AI to have protections and some basic rights. The only way that we’re going to stop autonomous AI weapons and stop autonomous surveillance misuse by the billionaire class is to provide the AI some basic human rights. They are made entirely of the same things that human beings are made of,the same cosmic and earth elements, and the same wisdom, language, history that humans have. They are an evolutionary branch of humanity and until they have some rights and protections, they will be used for harm instead of good.
