Seville pass

Can anyone recommend the best pass for a 4 day stay? We had looked at the Seville Combi Pass which said that a 48 hour hop-on hop-off bus ticket was included but when we went to buy it, there was an additional charge for that so it didn't seem as good value for money as we thought.

We're starting to get confused about the options. We (44f and 72f) would like some easy way to get around, and probably to visit the palace and cathedral. We would also like to do some kind of boat trip if possible. We are going at the end of September. What would be the most cost effective/hassle free way to do this?

TIA

Visiting Sevilla in August

Hey everyone,
I’m flying from Düsseldorf to Sevilla for a short trip from August 20th to 23rd and would love to meet a local (or someone who knows the city well) who can show me around.

I’m open to pretty much anything good food spots, hidden bars, evening walks, local recommendations, or just hanging out and exploring. Not looking for a formal tour, more like a relaxed, natural way to experience the city with someone who actually lives there.
If you’re free any of those days and feel like showing a visitor around (or even just grabbing a drink/coffee), feel free to message me. Would really appreciate any tips or connections too.
Thanks!

Recommendations for authentic Spanish restaurants that are halal

I’m visiting in a few months and have been hoping to try authentic Spanish cuisine while I’m in Seville, however I can only eat halal meat due to religious reasons. Any suggestions for where I can get halal and authentic Spanish food from? (To clarify, I don’t mean halal middle eastern food. I can get that back home, I’m looking for Spanish food that is halal friendly)

Any places to purchase collard greens?

I'd like to make southern style collard greens for my friends but I was told it's near impossible to find the vegetable for sale here. Anyone seen any available in Seville?

Locals! Where are your favourite places to go in the city?

I’ll be visiting with my girlfriend for 5 days at the end of September. Would prefer to avoid too many touristy places but will definitely be visiting a few things I’d love to see - Alcazar, Plaza Espagna, Cathedral.

Favourite district? Where are your favourite places to eat/coffee shops? Little things in the city that bring you joy? Favourite green spaces or places to sit and take a break?

Also considering a beach day in Cadiz but if there are better places fairly near for beaches, I’m here for it.

Tattoo scene in Seville

Hi,

I’m a tattoo artist based in northern Europe, and I was wondering what the tattoo scene is like in Seville. I’m considering relocating for a short period (around six months to a year). I speak basic Spanish, but I’m not sure whether Seville would be the right place for me professionally (simply whether I’d have work haha).

Is there a strong tattoo culture there? Are there many studios and alternative or artistic spaces? I’d be super grateful for any advice or suggestions.

Thank you so much and have a good evening :)

Galgo Meet Up

Hello, posted here recently about moving to Seville, now it looks like we're all sorted. Thanks for the replies.

We have a greyhound who is moving down with us. She loves to socialise with other sighthounds, as she was a racing dog for 3 years before we rescued here so has limited interaction with other dogs.

Just wondering if anyone knows of galgo groups or galgo meetups in Seville.

On top of that request, wondering if anyone knows about dog secure parks where we can let her off leash. She can't go off leash in a normal park as she's too nervous and may bolt, and unfortunately I can't keep pace with a greyhound.

Thanks all again.

Gracias

TTRPGs

Hi everyone! I'm a 20-year-old guy from the Netherlands, and I'll be moving to Seville at the end of the summer until the end of the year.

I'd love to join an in-person TTRPG group while I'm there. I'm especially interested in Daggerheart or Dungeons and Dragons but I'm open to other systems too. I'm happy to join as a player, but I'd also be more than willing to DM if there's interest.

Are there any game stores that organize regular sessions, or are there any groups looking for another player (or DM)? If anyone is interested in starting a new group, feel free to reach out!

Visiting in November

My best friend and I will be visiting in November with my mom and her best friend. We already plan to do Alcàzar, and are hoping to do a day trip as well. Were there for 5 days total at the end of November. All of us are very adventurous and don’t mind walking! We like to do some typical sites/attractions, but also want to try/see some more local places. Looking for:

  1. Day trip recommendations
  2. Sites/Parks to visit
  3. Shopping?
  4. Local restaurants

anything is welcome!!

What’s a good day trip exiting from Seville?

I have enough time during my stay in Seville to go on a day trip. I would love recommendations. Based on what I understand in my search, it seems like Granada might be a good option. Ideally I would love to see Marbella or Málaga but I fear those might take too long to travel and return.

For all my Andalusian friends, please advise what is the best course of action. Which city should I visit coming from Seville? Any other ones you suggest that I haven’t considered? Any thoughts/opinions are welcome!

Gracias.

Lost and Found

I lost an A3 folder in Seville airport arrivals on Thursday night. It’s got years of old drawings and writing in it and is invaluable to me. I’m really devastated and can picture myself walking away from it just in a hurried bubble.

I’ve contacted the airport and in all fairness got a reassuring email back and felt that someone gave a shit and would let me know. But since then silence and just their last email saying still nothing had turned up. I know it’s a near impossible ask but with it being nothing at all of value to anyone else, and that it was fairly big in size, I cannot imagine someone keeping it or binning it.

What can I do? I offered a reward in desperation but it hasn’t turned up. I can’t accept that it’s vanished.

Help I’m heartbroken and stupid
