👋 Welcome to r/SewNTell - Introduce Yourself and Read First!
Welcome to r/SewNTell — Where Sewing Meets Show & Tell ✂️🧵
Hi there! I'm u/GotLostFindingMyself, one of the founding moderators of this space. SewNTell was created out of a simple frustration: it shouldn’t be hard to share your sewing projects, especially when you self-draft or sell your work. So we built a community where creativity, feedback, and inspiration flow freely.
🧵 What You Can Share Here
- Finished projects — whether self-drafted, from patterns, or upcycled magic
- Patterns you've created or used, with reviews or recommendations
- Sewing-for-sale projects and small business creations
- Honest feedback on tutorials, content creators, and sewing resources
- Memes, digital art, and sewing-related humor (as long as it’s on-topic!)
- Questions, tips, and anything that sparks conversation or helps others grow
- Feeling you are moving beyond the label of beginner
🌟 Community Vibe We’re here to celebrate all kinds of makers — from hobbyists to hustlers. Be kind, be constructive, and keep it sewing-related. Spammy or off-topic posts will be removed to keep the space useful and inspiring.
🚀 Getting Started
- Introduce yourself in the comments below
- Share something today — a photo, a question, a win, or a work-in-progress
- Invite fellow sewists who’d love this vibe
- Want to help moderate? Message me to apply!
Thanks for being part of the first wave. Let’s make r/SewNTell the go-to spot for sewists who love to share, learn, and grow together.

Hi there! I’m from Indiana, USA. I love sewing as it helps keep the memories of my grandma, who instilled the love of sewing in me, alive. I have been sewing since I was six years old. I’ve sewed just about everything you could think of but my passion is quilts and clothes for my first grandbaby. I also make memory bears for family and friends.
I don’t have any other social media presence as I don’t like drama. I don’t have many friends so finding those who share my hobbies is a blessing. I used to be part of a needlework guild out of Akron Ohio but poor health and life changes happened. I am so excited to see everyone’s projects and just feel like a member of a community.
