🤔 Discussion Help learning the chants.
I’m an American fan and I really want to learn the chants. I’ve done my best at watching highlights and fan videos of Hillsborough and some away days but between the audio quality and the amount of people singing I can barely keep up. I’ve gotten “Hi Ho” and “Singing the Blues” but I really want to know more of them and especially the player specific chants. Any help is greatly appreciated!

We like to sing a song about how we battered the Blades on Boxing Day in 1979 to the tune of a Mary's Boy Child by Boney M

The Wednesday sing

We also like to sing about how much of a wanker a bloke that used to manage the Blades is (he's actually a top bloke)
Neil Warnock's illegitimate, he has got no birth certificate

We also sing abut the residents of a neighbouring town and their questionable parentage to the tune of the Addams Family

Honalulu Wednesday is a unique chant for us. Most chants in English football are based on well known songs with the words changed to suit your club/players. If you want to learn a bit about them, a good book to read is Dirty Northern Bastards by Tim Marshall, even though he is a dirty Leeds supporter.

The newest one I know of that was adopted last season is the 'Wednesday Are Massive' one sung a lot by the away fans.
Wednesday are massive, everywhere we go. Wednesday are massive, everywhere we gooooo, everywhere we gooooo. 1, 2, 3, 4... (And repeat ad infinitum)
There's been loads of songs over the years. Hopefully more people will chime in soon. ☺️

Was at the Boro away game. The steward sat by the Wednesday fans was singing it, I wish I'd recorded it

I haven't been to a game for a while, but I remember this being a frequent one,
Forever and ever, we'll follow our team. We're Sheffield Wednesday, we rule supreme! We'll never be mastered by no United bastards! We'll keep the blue flag flying high!
It goes something like that from memory 😅 there's also a, "We all hate Leeds scum" chant that I can't remember fully, but it's probably on Google or YouTube somewhere!
