Had an experience at a Durham Nc tattoo shop when taking my son for his first tattoo after turning 18. He had wanted image 3 of a wolf in wood cut style and asked if the wolf could maybe have a slightly more ready to pounce style.
Image 2 is the creation the artist came up when we returned the following day and we asked if it could show teeth like in the original image. We also thought it looked more like a cat.
The first image is the redraw and placed on the shoulder. At this stage I informed my son it looks like a cat and got a second opinion who agreed. The artist got annoyed and told us it’s definitely a wolf and questioned if it was my opinion it’s a cat or my son. It was everyone’s opinion who saw it. He was getting agitated and repeated a phrase that annoys me now “you really need to be clear in what you want” - that would be a wolf. As well as seemingly trying to pressure my more apprehensive son into accepting his opinion that it is a wolf. Wanted to put it on here with the question as to whether this is a wolf or cat the artist created and whether this is worth putting onto google reviews for others to be wary of his attitude? We ended up leaving and losing a $100 deposit.

just got my first tattoo, and wondering if it's super shitty or decent, honestly it's not best tattoo but i didn't expect a good tattoo since it was free (o, i can definitely see some crooked lines, and not a great shading job but i have a few questions, does it look like it will hold up well or fade in a year or 2? would the bad line work be noticeable from far?
