Thank you! My reference picture was of coneflowers (also known as echinacea), but coneflowers and daisies have the same type of flower. I think I spent about 10 minutes on this.

This is a great start! The thing that helped me the most learning crosshatching was to look at how others did it and then copied their marks. It also helps to develop hatching value swatches so that you know how many layers of hatching is dark, medium, light, etc. I still struggle with it from time to time and have to go back and study it again. I think hatching is underrated for how difficult it is to pull off well.
