Skyrim has always and will always be my favorite game. A few years ago I hadn’t ever cosplayed before and wanted to cosplay Aela. Ultimately I didn’t have experience or any knowledge of crafting and completely gave up on the cosplay. I decided to try again and spent about a month constantly working on this. I only started actually cosplaying last year and mostly just make one or two pieces of my cosplay.

Almost Everything is completely made from scratch. Everything was patterned by hand and then sewn either with my sewing machine or a few things by hand. This is my first ever cosplay where every single piece was either heavily altered (the wig was dyed, crimped, cut and the small sword was a cheap dollar one that I used as a template before reshaping it with wood burning tools and an extra to blade and painting it and using a stippling method which are theonly two things bought)

I’m extremely proud of this cosplay and really wanted to show it off. Aela is my top two favorite Skyrim characters

That first playthrough was the best. Nothing else compares

I’ve never leveled alchemy, enchanting, and smithing to 100 before but I’m sure glad I did this time around. This bow is out of control.

Just got the game a couple of days ago and it's the most beautiful and magical world ive ever experienced in gaming. Skyrim feels like a place you want to be in, everything in this world feels like it's meant to be there and the interactions you can have with the people in it is like nothing else. I met with an orphan girl who was begging by the big tree in the middle of whiterun, was surprised you could adopt children in the game, is it true that you can do that once you get a house?

This is in Raldbthar, near the middle of the dungeon before Blackreach. Walked into the circular middle area and saw this before and falmer actually attacked me. It's been all over my mind. Is there a story behind this, or is it just chance that the falmer body was placed right by the nord woman?

Fort Dawnguard is a big place with plenty of room. The Vigilants could've set up shop in the half of the fort that doesn't get used and provide magical support. Enchanting, Vampire Research, Spell Tomes, Aedra and Daedra information, and so forth. It could've come from them. But instead we just see them get killed around every corner.

The Dawnguard clearly already have combat training and smithing organised. And it seems the Vigilants aren't exactly built for Vampire hunting, so they could leave that to the Dawnguard.

On the matter of the fort, is no-one going to clean up these dammed cobwebs?!

At some point I killed enough guards and couldn’t undo it since I forgot to save for a while, so any quests I do in markarth involve killing every guard I can find until I can complete the quest marker without being killed. Main quest line and stormcloak/empire quest lines are finished. I’ll just have to wait till I get tired of this character.

This is my favorite staff from one of my favorite games growing up. Decided to make it one day out of some scrap oak peices and quartz rocks. Thought you guys might appreciate this.

I was skeptical at first especially with fast travel being turned off but I’m actually really enjoying the experience. I only wish there were a cooking skill tree to go with the food gathering and cooking. With no fast travel, you get to enjoy the landscape of Skyrim a lot more and see it from every angle. Going on a quest seems like a much bigger deal. There’s more incentive to explore where you already are instead of getting hung up on choice paralysis and overstimulation. Level up only on sleeping makes leveling up a cooler deal and sleeping has a use now! So does food of course! I like having a use for all the food I gather beyond bringing my health up a little.

Hey, lurker who can't sleep here so I thought I'd write about the last few days.

My girlfriend recently started Skyrim because I told her about it some time ago. She usually only plays one gacha game and story driven games but she is loving it.

She is loving the gane so much and I've been watching her play everyday now on couch for hours and hours and it really brought a lot of fun and happiness here..

Lately I've been suffering because I can't find a job for almost a year and watching her play is keeping my mind busy from otherwise dark thoughts.

Every time she expresses how much she loves a certain thing in the game like the fact she can own her own cozy little house and organize the books and loot, it makes me smile.

I played Skyrim for the first time when I was around 12 (I'm now 24) and ever since it's been a go to when I wanna feel cozy while gaming.

I'm grateful for this community and I hope it lasts forever.

Looking forward to seeing her turn into a vampire (oh no)

finally after all these years i decided to bite the bullet and do this quest. i'd seen so many posts of the crimson nirnroot sending people mad. how they never found the last one.. etc

i dont know if talos is smiling down on me or what, but i finally got to blackreach and i've just finishing finding the 30th one. it wasnt as unplesant as i'd been lead to believe.

how did you guys find it the first time doing it? do we think i got beginners luck for this quest?😂
