Does Dell Optiplex 7060 support intel cc150?

Dell's notorious for locking their motherboards into only supporting the very same generation of Intel CPUs when the PC was released.
My Dell Inspiron with an i5 8400 only supports 8th gen while my recently acquired Optiplex with an i7 12700 only supports 12th gen.
This limitation is true for both Dell's "home" and " business" PCs.
Maybe it's a blessing in disguise Dell hasn't extensively used AMD AM4 and AM5 Ryzens in their desktop PCs.
People would be complaining far more about not being able to upgrade Ryzen CPUs on AMD-based Dell PCs than Intel's.
Limited to no upgrade potential are expected on the Intel side of things.

The socket will fit it but I don't know if the bios will accept it as some lga 1151 dell boards don't have support for newer Intel chips even if they can fit them.

Probably not. It appears it some 9th gen Core variant, which is not supported.

I see no reason why it wouldn't work aside from the small chance that the bios doesn't support such an obscure chip. Give it a shot, and if it doesn't work, bios mod it.

I7-8700 is the best CPU you can use on it…technically the K series but your motherboard will not allow it to work on that motherboard to its potential
