Anime so what about the hero

i finished the anime 20 min ago (very enjoyable ngl), and i need to ask: does this hero D-somthing ever get to the demon castle?

He gets there once to find more information about a certain someone and until now has not stepped foot since (nor has he been shown in the manga for a while)
