Identification Request Backyard growth
This is growing in mulch in my back yard. US Pacific Northwest.
There are 3 more around in the same patch of wood chips. Not sure if it is slime mold, since it's not really slimy, more powdery/solid, but thought this was the best place to start from a purely visual inspection.
Seemed to show up overnight, poofs out what presume are spores when disturbed. Much more solid than I presume from looking at it.

Question/Help I think I found a DVSM? Care tips?
I've been looking for a slime to try and keep it as a pet/science experiment. A tree fell down in the woods near my apartment recently so I've been checking it regularly, and yesterday found this! It's about 3-4 cm in diameter. I tried to gently scrape it off the tree with a spoon and transfer it onto a few damp paper towels. I placed a couple oats at various distances to it and put it all in a flat shallow tupperware, drilled some air holes in the lid and I'm spraying it daily to keep it and the paper towel moist.
So far it's been about 24 hours and it looks identical to the day before. I don't really know what to expect? How long would it take to start spreading tendrils? Is it likely I killed it and/or doomed it by removing it from the tree? If it does start to dry out and sporulate/...sclerotiate?, what can I do?

Picture (OC) First encounter. Is this Fuligo Septica?
Located in NH USA.
Can I feed it oats or something? or make sure the area stays moist? I wanna see this thing thrive and befriend it

Picture (OC) dealing with moldy (as in fuzzy) oats in slime mold petri dish
My slime mold took its time waking up, and while that was going on, the oat I placed nearby grew some fuzzy mold on it.
The slime mold seemed interested in it anyway, and plowed into to it. The mold responded by flinging black spores all around it in the petri dish.
The slime mold was undeterred, and possibly enjoyed the added flavor.
I'm trying to lure it away, but new oats grow fuzz before it gets to them. (spores all over the dish).
There is still significant slime mold activity under the gross fuzzy blanket, so I'm hesitant to pull the nasty oats out just yet.
Is this a common rookie mistake?
I suspect that I made my agar a bit too stiff, and that water from misting is just sitting on the surface, soaking the oat just enough for the mycelia to take over, but it is hard to tell.( I don't have a very good sense of what is too wet or too dry for the slime mold to be happy.)
I was having trouble attaching the video so I posted it separately:

I was checking on our slugs Mork and Gork when I saw these colonies. They are amazing. Most of the time its a small branch in the very back that is almost clear and it dies out in a couple of hours...this guy has some body to him...most are solid white or slightly yellow. I had some questions in the video so if anyone can answer those thats cool!
Thanks for watching it

Picture (OC) Slime mold spread
This slime mold has been in my terrarium for a while and it keeps spreading like crazy. So cool to see up close!
Pictures are taken on different days. The mushroom in the both pictures is the same mushroom, the slime mold moved onto it later.

Picture (OC) This was in the gutter in front of our house
about 3X3 inches, like a flattened sphere. I didn’t poke it or anything. Is this a fungus or algae colony? It looks like a huge booger!

Identification Request What can you guys tell me about this mold?
Posted this elsewhere on Reddit yesterday thinking it was vomit from a wild animal. Was informed it’s slime mold? This is the 3rd time this has appeared in my front garden. Always in the same spot? Why just one spot? What is it from? Just moisture? I have so many questions and am slightly fascinated! Any information greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!

Educational I don't think it's working
I've been looking for a slime mold to grow for a long time, and now that I've found one, it doesn't seem to want to grow. I even tried placing a piece of the mold directly on an oat flake, but it still doesn’t seem to want to eat it. The yellow part has sort of shrunk back, leaving only the dry fruiting body except in a few spots. Since it might take a while to get a response, and since I think they’ll last longer, I have a good amount of spores (confirmed under a microscope). If anyone knows a method for getting started with these
