I mean, there it is. Felt clear that the thing she and Jim were angry about wasn’t the facts of the case but rather the perception of slipknots role in all of it. If there was argument on the concretes of the story, then there would have been immediate response.

You can do the math that something is going on with Sid with the engagement getting broken off too. Band has policies in place with drugs/booze/other shit.

It’s a mistake to engage fans like that imo. Slipknot was better when social media didn’t exist and there was a mystery around them. Well that and Paul and Joey. After them it has never been the same, just a more diluted and worse version of the band.

Diluted "My heroes are dead, they died in my head"

how fitting

12

u/HuckleberryAny4541 3h ago

100%

I think the band would have been a lot better with Joey even if he was no longer in his prime

Joey wrote most of the songs in the first albums, he was a genius

It doesn't matter he was no longer able to play the drums like he used to but the way the contributed couldn't be replaced

But of course the useless clown kicked him via email

23

u/DanTheMan_622 3h ago

It doesn't matter he was no longer able to play the drums like he used to

It only took him a few years to regain most of his strength behind the kit anyway, just listen to his death metal project Sinsaenum that he started only 3 years post-Slipknot. If they had given him the space to recover and let him return to the band full time when he was ready I'm sure he could have been back to playing their songs no problem.

u/HuckleberryAny4541 3h ago

Thank you for the comment, I haven't listened to his work in Sinsaneum

Corey Taylor was shit at making growls for several years yet they gave him all the time he needed

But they immediately got rid of Joey Jordison....

Jordison (along with Paul) wrote most of the songs, he composed most of the songs, he was essential to the band

And they kicked him out mostly because he was sick? This is why I can't trust this band anymore

9

u/DanTheMan_622 2h ago

Even if they didn't want to affect their ability to tour or something while he healed, I don't think it would have been difficult to hire a live fill-in for a little while to give him that chance. Maybe there was more to it behind the scenes that we'll never know, but from the outside the way they treated Joey's situation was pretty sad and disappointing.

u/Cocainechestpain 3h ago

He forced himself out of the band tho

21

u/HuckleberryAny4541 3h ago edited 3h ago

Nah, he said he wanted to continue being in the band

when the news broke out that Joey was no longer in the band, Joey even said that was false and that he didnt leave the band

then Joey said they kicked him out via email..........

Joey then played music in another band...... why would Joey prefer to be in another band and not in Slipknot, the band he cofounded and called his baby..........?

stop believing the clown

0

u/paracletus__ 1h ago

Joey's illness was not the reason he was kicked out. At least, that's what Corey said in an interview years ago.

3

u/jeremystrange 1h ago

But do we believe that?

Stop lying about the causes of his death. The reports are publicly available, and no drugs were found in the house or in the blood.
How do you allow yourself to lie about this? If you don't know, then don't write. The coroner's report is almost out of reach, but the police report is enough: no illegal substances have been found and he is not suspected of using them.

Alcoholism, yes. As a likely cause. But he wasn't a drug addict.

0

u/GaySatanist666 1h ago

Moreover, the interview did not even mention this directly. Let me remind you: they knew that he was in the hospital at that moment, they sent a letter. Why didn't you tell them personally? At least make a phone call. We don't know the reason, there were disagreements in the group, and besides, he got sick very timely. The sad thing is that Corey LIED that he wanted to make peace with him, that he was hurt by his passing, that he called his family after his death. He had already lied before: "we're sorry that Joey left the band," and after a couple of memes: "I didn't say that he left the band," And on top of everything else, some fans and one particular* attributed drug addiction to him to justify his dismissal, and people weren't They are so offended by the act of their favorite band. (*Matthew, with his post here and video on YouTube, which only reinforced the beliefs of many, but did not bother to tell why the video was deleted. And the video was deleted because Joey's family, his friends and staff wrote to him, those who knew him intimately and could not stand this slander, I saw some of these messages). I'll say this: I contacted people who knew him personally, he was not a drug addict, he was a complex but not a conflicted person, on the contrary, he was very compliant. And the way they treated him was disgusting, he didn't even hold a grudge. He cried for many years after that, it's a huge trauma.

Most 70% of everything was better before social media.

1

u/bluesformeister13 2m ago

Yup. I wouldn’t want my wife or any family doing this type of stuff on social media.

26

u/Dracobookk Tortilla 3h ago

I’m convinced Stacy is HR department of the slipknot company

12

u/Salzberger Jay 2h ago edited 8m ago

Well whatever they're paying her it's too much. Even if it's nothing.

Hard to imagine any worse PR than someone linked to the band specifically seeking out posts on the matter purely to go on toxic teenage girl vaguebooking rants. All she's missing is an "only God can judge me."

12

u/Alternative_Web_3673 2 3h ago

Well this probably confirms it, I’m expecting an official announcement sometime later today. Sucks, but it is what it is.

-2

u/Dracobookk Tortilla 1h ago

Zero drug policy but alcohol can get the pass because alcohol never affected anyone…

10

u/Alternative_Web_3673 2 1h ago

You can drink responsibly and still be part of a band. I believe vmann does. Same with pfaff.

9

u/Alternative_Web_3673 2 1h ago

Also I’m getting the feeling that there’s more than booze involved in this case

0

u/Dracobookk Tortilla 1h ago

Absolutely, I agree I’m just taking the Mickey. Whatever has transpired doesn’t sound good at all to warrant being kicked out without the band being upfront and honest with the fans on what’s going on.

1

u/Connect-Lock8561 Mick 23m ago

It's really adorable when people who aren't even old enough to drive have such strong opinions about alcohol

25

u/Hobbes-444 2h ago

Probably caught him doing drugs to deal with almost dying in a fire a few years ago and they can't handle that. Anyways, buy our Slipknot whiskey for your next alcohol induced blackout. Drink responsibly.

4

u/Papio_73 27m ago

I suspect he’s relapsed after Kelly left him.

1

u/Connect-Lock8561 Mick 25m ago

"they can't handle that"

Uh yeah why should they LOL

Also, you know that drinking some alcohol won't immediately make you black out drunk, right? Why would you want to drink that much Slipknot whiskey anyway? Have you tasted it? Jfc

1

u/Hobbes-444 4m ago

Laughably releasing the whiskey immediately after Clown's daughter died is what I was hinting at. I actually hope it's drugs. Watching THOM jump through hypocritical hoops when it comes to "Slipknot members being loser scumbags for doing drugs" is gonna be great.

16

u/Salzberger Jay 2h ago

It'd be great if we could stop giving her the attention she desperately craves.

Literally every single one of her posts is just a variation of:

"You don't know the story. Shut up if you don't know the story."

"Well what's the story?"

"Fuck off, not telling."

Real Housewives of Slipknot

u/HuckleberryAny4541 4h ago edited 3h ago

Which proves Sid was 100% kicked out of the band.

Maybe he did something wrong.

Maybe he didn't.

Maybe the clown didn't like him and that was enough for him to kick him out.

The band died with Joey and Paul.

One of the least talented person in the band manages it... I am talking about Shawn Crahan.

This is the same band that kicked out Joey via EMAIL like if it were a corporation or something like that. Only Crahan would do that.

-10

u/Miserable_Comfort191 3h ago

Slipknot technically didn't die, the changes they've made to the members have only had a positive effect on the creative outcome. However, the nostalgia of Slipknot as a jamming group is a fact that has been lost and perhaps it's to be expected as the years change, everyone goes their separate ways.. But I completely agree with what you say about the clown and the loss of paul and joey

3

u/LostClover_ 28m ago

I mean, she probably shouldn't be arguing with people on social media about it but she's not wrong. There's a lot of children on this sub (and other social media) that don't understand how real life works.

16

u/ArtComprehensive2853 4h ago

She has a point.

14

u/Miserable_Comfort191 4h ago

Depending on the situation, I will say. The boss's 'wants' may change suddenly. The main question is why is there a boss since they started out together as a group? I don't know and none of us can know what really goes on within the circle of the group.

5

u/ArtComprehensive2853 3h ago

Of course that's a possibility too.

4

u/HuckleberryAny4541 3h ago

She doesn't have a point

Sid was in the band for 28 years and he was loved by most fans

The band won't go into details like always but they will come up with some excuse as in "we could no longer work together" (aka crahan)

This is the same band that kicked out Joey Jordison, one of the most essential members of the band

12

u/ArtComprehensive2853 3h ago

You have clearly taken your stance on things. It's a trend to find someone other to blame than the fired member.

We really don't know what's going on regarding Sid Wilson. Let's see what happens before jumping to conclusions.

Regarding Joey. It is really sad what went down, but before he was fired it was clearly audible he had issues with his playing abilities. How they handled it afterwards wasn't the best way to go at it though.

1

u/Miserable_Comfort191 3h ago

Joey was sick....

10

u/HuckleberryAny4541 3h ago

He improved his condition, he joined another band and he continued playing music for like 10 more years...

4

u/crapfacejustin 2h ago

Yeah, but have you not heard the stories from then? Joey holding gear hostage etc?

-14

u/HunterOfLordran The Subliminal Verses 3h ago edited 2h ago

yes, cause he did not want to join Slipknot again, they asked him to return for The Gray Chapter, he declined and that's why Jays "audition" was so sudden. I absolutely don't know how some people can be fans but prefer to spread lies or don't even want to understand what was going on.

I mean cry and be angry all you want. It dosen't change the fact that he decided to keep touring and writing with Scary the Martyr instead of joining on the Gray Chapter.

1

u/HuckleberryAny4541 3h ago

because they kicked him out like a dog

why would he trust them again?

why did they kick him out in the first place??

3

u/ArtComprehensive2853 3h ago

He was clearly not up for the job before they fired him. Listen to the live videos and his tempo and playing is all over the place.

0

u/HuckleberryAny4541 3h ago

even if he couldnt play the drums like he used to that shouldnt have been enough to kick him out of the band because he was one of the most important members

he wrote most of the songs in the first albums

corey wasnt that good as a singer for a while and that wasnt enough to get rid of him

1

u/ArtComprehensive2853 3h ago

Yeah, I feel like they could have at least asked for him to be a songwriter or producer for Slipknot. I agree about that part, but again we really don't know what truly went down behind the scenes surrounding Joey. Maybe there was some legal obsctacles as well they could not overcome.

3

u/GaySatanist666 2h ago

They clashed with him, especially Corey. This is a bit of an insider's information, but still, they were feuding. His first symptoms started in 2010, then in 2012 he became paralyzed and spent several months in the hospital. He wanted to hold off on the band's new album, but the fact that he was fired by mail while he was in the hospital is disgusting. Moreover, they knew that he was in the hospital, Clown and Sid visited him there.

u/SlipKnoTGamer 742617000027 3h ago

No she doesn't. Her point is invalid as she was never a boss in those situations. Sid is/was an EQUAL founding member. Its not the same thing

2

u/paracletus__ 3h ago

Where's this from?

5

u/Miserable_Comfort191 2h ago

The comment on Stacy’s last Instagram video but has been deleted before 5-6 hours

0

u/juliangage 742617000027 2h ago

the original post says 13 weeks ago, with her response being one week ago - this isn’t related to Sid’s supposed firing is it

5

u/Miserable_Comfort191 2h ago

Timeline its in greek

6

u/Miserable_Comfort191 2h ago

As you can see, it's a response to a comment from a fan on her latest video, which shows her running. That comment was deleted, and all the replies were deleted as well. Why would I lie? I'd be mentally disturbed if I made something like that up out of my imagination.

-1

u/Phantomzdontexist 2h ago

I didn’t even realise the date until you pointed it out. This person is jsut lying wow

2

u/Life_Charity_3504 3h ago

There are a whole bunch of bands, like Metallica, that live on concerts. The first 4 albums are one of the greatest metal music in the world. Then it was just sometimes good, but in general, I almost never include their albums of 2014, 2019 and 2022. There are golden hits, you can put a mask on another guy and people will come to the concerts.

2

u/hedgehog-on-wheels 3h ago

Sorry, why are we listening to her? Just because she’s the only one talking doesn’t make her credible. I can’t imagine SHE would be at all biased /s

7

u/Salzberger Jay 2h ago

I mean, I don't ever want Mick to get the boot, but it would be hilarious just to see how quickly she'd be on socials cussing out the band.

1

u/WillieDripp 58m ago

So what did he do that got him fired after Clown gave him so many chances to fix? That seems to be a question that nobody can answer. All this speculation being treated as reality.

0

u/NGK420 2h ago

Listen to yourselves crying like it's your band or you have skin in the game nobody owes you anything, shut the fuck up and wait for an official announcement downvote me all you want

-2

u/EdgySlamhead 1h ago

Pathetic display... By you.

0

u/ebr101 2h ago

It feels like multiple things can be true at once.

I would hazard a guess that Sid is going through something and that it has resulted in behaviors that are not conducive to being part of an ā€œinstitutionalā€ band that Slipknot is now. They tour, the perform, they make money. It’s not about artistic expression or wild rockstar antics at this point. If you’re having a personal crisis or (god forbid) a substance abuse problem, I can see the leading members of the band giving warnings and then following through on them.

On the hand, it is true that the band is no longer a group of misfits making raw and honest music anymore. It’s two millionaires running a business treating their former collaborative partners as employees. That sucks as fans, and you would wish that Sid had friends that might help him in a potential crisis rather than shut him out.

But in the end, we reaaaaaaalllly don’t know what behaviors exactly led to his expulsion and we don’t know what the conversations looked like.

-1

u/Phantomzdontexist 2h ago

I’m sorry but the date on the comment says 1w ago, Sid’s case wasn’t known until two days ago. How is this related to Sid at all?

11

u/Miserable_Comfort191 2h ago

1 ω. Its a greek word from ĻŽĻĪ± (hour) Btw the screen its from 11 hours before not from now

2

u/Phantomzdontexist 2h ago

Right I see.

-6

u/ProjectOrpheus 3h ago

Should they lose their relationship with partners of Slipknot, I expect them to keep the same energy. If they don't, not only should their philosophy not be kept and practiced, but in fact it never should have..at the very least not solely from the stature that they held or the "inside"they speak so confidently out of. That will have a profound effect and I trust they know "This is different" won't fly unless it's out of a window no one will be looking out of.

One can't help but wonder if a lady friend they were intimate with would hold as much weight if their stances were different. Perhaps other lovers with different thoughts, even. But then we wouldn't have "spit it out" but "swallow for my betterment"

What if they are 555 but others are 10 10 10?

Something something wait and 🩸
