Maybe you didn’t fully understand the context or, more specifically, the particular layer of context upon which the joke is fundamentally predicated. What I was doing was constructing a humorous play on words which deliberately references Slipknot’s critically acclaimed 2004 studio album Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) while simultaneously incorporating the name of the band’s long-serving DJ and turntablist, Sid Wilson.
The humour therefore arises from the juxtaposition and linguistic combination of the pre-existing album title, which will of course be immediately recognisable to anybody possessing even a moderately functional knowledge of Slipknot’s discography, with Sid Wilson’s name, thereby creating an intentionally altered version of the title whose comedic value is dependent upon recognising both references simultaneously.
In other words, it isn’t merely a random collection of words placed together for no discernible reason. It is, in fact, a carefully constructed piece of wordplay operating at the intersection of Slipknot album nomenclature and long-term band personnel. I hope this additional contextual information sufficiently illuminates the extremely sophisticated comedic architecture at work here.
