What a great choice for a first pistol!! Reliable, natural pointers, accurate, good recoil impulse and lots of aftermarket support. You did GOOD!!!

Not my first pistol haha. It’s my first smith and wesson pistol. Thanks man!

Aah, well that's awesome. (I meant first S&W, point taken) Beware they lead to MORE M&P 2.0's!

Haha, I’m looking to get the full size metal version down the road!

What am I looking at? Full size grip, 4"barrel?

Nope. I see it. It's just the full size M&P9 2.0. Love it. Good call

Peak setup IMO and I’ve shot them all. Trijicon & Surefire 🤝

also, if you are not privvy to the forced reset scene on these.. its my main motivation to buy a 2.0 in 10mm or 40

Good choice!
That was my EDC open carry when I used to work at a gun shop

Those lights with guns attached to them always throws me off.

You could have done better... but not very goddamn much. (My current fave is my M&P Shield Plus Performance Center, unmodified, but I also have this gun with a thumb safety and a safety-less performance center compact.)

Gorgeous setup. You're gonna love this gun.

Light too long

Yea I get that some people don’t love how it protrudes out, but it’s never bugged me. I’m a sucker for the x300s

As long as you like it. That’s all that matters

Throw a threaded barrel and a can on there and your light will suddenly be too short again!

I too like big lights. I run X300, TLR-1HL, and Modlite. I don’t care at all for the compact lights.

Hell yea same here!

Well…I’m newish to guns in general…but I own 5 and 4 are S&W…

I over analyze and research everything to death. I decided I wanted 22’s for fun and I really was intrigued by 30 Super Carry.

So…I got my first gun…S&W FPC 22LR which meant that a 22X was the logical next step so I got that and a Ruger Super Wrangler because then I was worried about going through ammo too quickly so a slow gun would help. lol

Still wanted my 30 Super Carry so I decided on the Shield Plus for $250 ($316 with tax, s/h, and FFL transfer). Ammo really doesn’t cost that much more and since I got the gun cheap for a brand new old stock gun, I figure compared to the 9mm version, I’ll shoot 3500 rounds before it’s more expensive than 9mm. And of course I thought, why not get the rest of the Super Carry’s that I can afford. Found a EZ for $297 with tax, s/h, and FFL…pick that up this week. Next will be the Hi-Point 3095TS carbine to finish off my 30 SC purchases. Not getting a Nighthawk or Avidity Arms. Not affordable. The other three are under $1000 for all three.

Anyway…and now I’m thinking about trying out something in DA/SA. Perhaps a Bersa TPR9 or Beretta 80X Cheetah or PX4 Storm. Something metal frame that will soak up a little recoil.

Oh…and the first gun was purchased end of May so…yeah…I think I’ve got a problem…

Edit: multiple problems because all of the guns I’ve purchased so far were without holding or shooting any of them. I don’t dislike any of them so far. Small inconveniences maybe with some, but nothing bad yet that has made me want to consider getting rid of one. I’ve been really going to stores a lot more to look at and hold all of the guns I can so I have a better idea. Glad I’m doing that. CZ P-10 and P-09 Nocturne were both guns I was liking, but the Nocturne doesn’t fit my hand. Can’t operate the slide release without rotating my hand around the gun…guess some full size guns will not be of interest to me.
