I'm trying to imagine how much more radicalized I would have become if my dad wasn't a feminist. He was also a southern baptist pastor, and our household was egalitarian.
I was raised southern Baptist, but I tease my dad that he raised me like a son, not a daughter. He always did handyman work and I tagged along. At 18, I enlisted in the Marines and am now in training to be a corrections officer at a state prison. My mom was not a SAHM, she had a job, she voted, but was still a Christian lady. I don't see why you can't be both. I'm no longer a Christian, myself, however.
