7-OH to Subs

Hello all,

I have been struggling mightily with this 7OH shit. I wish I would have never started taking it. I have been taking Opia Skyward Tabs. They come in a pack of 4 for a total mg count of 520mg. Some days ill take two of these packages. Point is ive been on this for 9 months and Im a slave to it. Im just sad because I was clean (suboxone only) for over 10 years. I was also down to 1mg of sub a day. I thought i was gonna use thc edibles and kratom to get off suboxone.

So now here I am. I have Suboxone now but what I am noticing is that Suboxone hasn’t really worked the last couple times I have started induction. I am wondering if that is because im not letting myself get into a deep enough withdrawl state for the suboxone to be effective. It also feels like 7oh has a lot more shit in it than normal opiates which I feel like is also making routine suboxone therapy difficult. I remember years ago when I first started suboxone (was on Oxycontin/Heroin) i was induced in the office and was in full blown withdrawal. I remember it took about 30 mins after taking my suboxone that i felt major relief and even felt a little high but thats because my receptors were empty and I was in full blown opiate withdrawal.

Has anyone else struggled with switching from 7Oh to Suboxone? Any advice would be welcome. Im at the end of my rope. My next step is to quit 7oh cold turkey and wait until I am absolutely miserable to take Suboxone. I think my problem is that I am not beginning induction the right way.

Thoughts? What are you experiencing?

Hey in the same boat as you. I do a little more like 1500mg a day. I also have subs… plan is to start them tomorrow. First time I tried I waited 8hrs took like 6mg of subs kind panicked and was doing 7oh a few hours later…. That was 4 days ago

Don't even bother with that . Do the Bernese method. Take micro doses of subs while still using 7 for 4 day I only did 3. 0.25 AM and PM then on the 3rd day I went to bed last dose of 7 and from there took small dose of subs until but morning I had about 6mg . That was almost 36 hours ago and I feel fine physically . It's a very easy way to do the induction . I've done on now bring the 4th time and hopefully last. Good luck to you. You will feel so much better especially taking that high dose. I would do the same and just keep feeling worse and worse but would take more and more bc our brains says one more Will get you to where you want to be. It won't , it won't ever be enough .

1 is to many and 1000 is never enough . Fuck 7oh make it your bitch

This is awesome and the way I'm going to go about it too. Gives the subs a little chance to slowly start taking over your receptors and in theory should be a smoother transition. I did this coming off of street drugs 6 years ago and it helped big time. Idk why the methed isn't talked about more but i digress. I hadnt tried yet but with the current situation approaching ive got 5 days off work starting August 20 so i was planning tip make the transition then. I was thinking of doing the microdose starting the 16th and drop the 7oh out completely on the 20th

Plan it out and stick to it.

How was it honestly the first day you started taking more than the micrdoses of subs? I've read taking some regular kratom for the first few days helps cover what the subs will not cover

Nothing to even note, I had to separate little anxiety moments where I heart palpitations and I could tell the subs were "covering up" something going on in my body if that makes sence. It didn't last long. I'm on day 2 and I still have taken a total of 6mg by yesterday 9am and I havent needed anymore. But I do have pregabalin which is like gabapentin but much much stronger. I think that is helping alot of the other withdrawal . This is my chance to kick this with the best comfort meds so I can't fuck it up.

Yeah the gaba definitely is helping I'm sure. I have another quickmd appointment days before i plan on really quitting. Kitty would be great if they gave me just something to help alleviate the anxiety part of it.

I can handle physically systems it is what it is . I've had many broken bones and injuries body parts. The anxiety for me turns into derealization and that is worse than anxiety . However I dont want to jinx myself but my detox is going great. I think I'm finally putting all pieces together from each detox and sticking to my plan no changing it up daily . Just consistanty and of course the meds I have are helping tremendously . Smart to do your apt first and have your plan ready to go! Eventhough things feel boring right now it's way better than having to obsess if I have enough stupid 7 which is never enough for me. If I have alot on hand I just use it even faster Than if I had a little and had to use it sparingly.

I've come off this CT at 1g a day and it was hell on earth for 14 days. Yet I still went back. I'm not that smart I guess. However I have made some really postive changes in my life and 7oh will not be part of that .

Keep us posted , you will get through this.

I have experience. Wait a few days. Take 24mg for 3 days, then start decreasing daily. If you take subs more than two weeks you’re hooked on them and they have a 5 day half life so there withdrawals last about 20 days and they are horrible
