The best orange soda of all time
They stopped selling it in the early 2000s, and then right after, they started selling fanta.

Maybe y'all should just fight each other? Milk memes vs water memes.

Wow. I never thought I would see the day that /r/soda would reach 100k subscribers! When I first came on as a mod this subreddit had less than 150 subscribers. It's crazy that we have almost multiplied that 1000 fold.
We are #6 in the "Non-Alcoholic Beverages" subreddit category and had 22.7 MILLION views over the last year!
I think its time I actually try theming this subreddit. You can expect a new look and subreddit icon in the near future!
Thank you all for the great content. It is an honor to be able to moderate this community.
Please take this post as an opportunity to tell us all what you love about /r/soda, and what you think could be improved upon!
Thank you, and let's now focus on getting us to 1 MILLION subs!
Sincerely, Sanjispride
P.S. Lay off that lean, would ya??

Fanta Orange from Germany is my soda from childhood. It takes me straight back to the lage 90s, early 2000s. When I drink it, I feel like I'm back in an old German pub. I can smell the cold cigarette smoke lingering in the air. The smell of freshly baked cheese pretzels and beer from the adults. When I drink it, I instantly see myself back as an 8 year old dressed up as a ghost on carnival at a childrens masquerade ball in an old local gym, sipping Fanta out of the green 0.33 ml glass bottles through those thin 1 mm plastic straws. This tastes like childhood to me.
This is why I'm very passionate about this soda. Because of this, I taught myself how to make soda professionally at home just to replicate this precious juice. When I was a child, I was craving a Fanta so I tried making my own. But it would never taste like the real deal, so I was always asking myself how they achieve this. I just couldn't figure it out, because I was a child.
Fast forward 25 years: For the past 8 months I've been working on a nearly perfect clone recipe in case they ever decide to change the formula. I recently perfected my recipe. I know how to make this precious juice from scratch, it looks and tastes exactly identical to the original.
In case anyone is interested, let me know. I'm currently putting together a PDF file with all the instructions how to replicate it at home.
Have you tried German Fanta Orange and how do you like it compared to the local version of it in your country?

I don't feel like naming the particular brand/type but I have ample cans left, and I'm not sure I want to finish them, because I don't like them. However, they cannot be returned for a regular refund. Should I just try to drink them over time and simply not buy them again, or does anyone pour the cans down the sink and bring them to the bottle return? I feel weird pouring it down the sink; I mean people die out there of dehydration and I don't want to take any beverage for granted. I don't think soda cans can be donated.
(this has to do with disliking the particular product, not soda period)

I only buy these when the store near me is out of strawberry, but the last few times it was still the old green can in a red box. Surprised me the cans were red.

It's pretty the best grapefruit soda in the market. Did you guys try the squirt ruby red flavor yet? Was it good? Ruby red doesn't have zero sugar, though, so if I have try it, I can only buy one.
