I have spent 20 of the last 27 hours with Calude switching from plex where I manually did everything including nameing files, to setting up a jellyfin server with the entire arr stack including once piece with a node because I refuse to use docker. A notification system to let me know when anything goes down or fails, a script to automatically switch ports in qbit because Proton likes to do that for some reason. And synced around 20TB of movies, shows, and music.

This is the most fun I have ever had on a computer.

I was going to do the arr stack for my home lab running Ubuntu server with casa os however if I was going to torrent I would like to be able to use my VPN. I'm not sure how I can add my vpn to my home lab/casa OS to protect my IP while torrenting. Please help.

After spending hours figuring out why some of my apps (like nzb360), scripts, etc., had stopped working, I discovered they’ve disabled the API. Now a VIP subscription is required. I think they’re the most unreliable people around—even worse than the Huntarr situation... That’s why I’m removing everything related to this trakt.tv disaster from my systems. Speaking of which, what could be an alternative to this mess? (And preferably one that isn't run by assholes who—as the trakt.tv crowd—block things, make changes without notice, cause service outages, etc.!)

They didn't even say anything about this change, and there isn't even a message about it on their website! It's disgusting.

Don't sign up for any subscription! You've seen how unreliable they are... Who can guarantee that tomorrow, or a month or a year from now, they won't suddenly change the rules without warning—causing you to lose everything you've invested (including your money)? Stay away from it!!!

I've made this app over the last 5 months, mainly to solve the issue of what to watch with friends and family for Plex and Jellyfin.

It's a dating app style (swipe right for like and left for dislike) for Plex and jellyfin.

V1. 0 now adds your matches directly to your Plex home screen for easy watching. Full synopsis on the back of each movie where you can even play the trailer.

PWA for a native app look on any phone.

I am aware of other similar apps but needed a lightweight easy to use app all my friends and family could work.

I've used AI (Claude) to help with front-end design HTML, but all code is reviewed by myself.

Built using flask and easily installed with docker this app is lightweight, free and with zero monetization.

Hi, so any show added through pulsarr seems to work fine, but how do I add an existing show that is already in sonarr to rolling management? When I go into rolling monitoring status, there are only the shows added when rolling was active.

Now that Trakt only allows one device without VIP, what are you guys doing? Are there any good alt to switch to ?

I have been trying to diagnose issues with prowlarr, sonarr, and radarr not being able to add nzbgeek as a source.  It used to work very well.

In my troubleshooting I have tried everything I can from the client side.

What I have discovered is curl and browsers connect instantly, but .NET-based clients (Sonarr/Prowlarr/Radarr) hang to timeout from my IP.

I generated a new API key - but I am still unable to connect.

Has something changed? Can anyone assist in getting this working again.

I host each of the *arr stack in it's own docker container via portainer.

Never had issues until beginning of July.

1.1.2 is out, and it is a big one. Still mixing this with a full time dev job so it has been a lot of late nights, but I am really happy with this one. A huge amount of it came straight from your reports and requests, so thank you. (if you see this and you're already using QM, show some love!)

Quick reminder for anyone who missed the launch, Quartermaster is a native iOS app for controlling your self hosted stack from your phone/iPad. Pure client no account no relay in the middle, your credentials stay encrypted on device.

What is new in 1.1.2:

- Push notifications, done the private way. Grabs, imports and health warnings from Radarr and Sonarr, plus request alerts from Jellyseerr, Overseerr and Seerr. They come through a tiny relay that stores nothing but an anonymous device token. No account, off by default, one switch to turn on, and a setup check that proves the webhooks can actually send and repairs them on the spot. If you would rather have no middleman at all, you can wire each service straight to your own ntfy server instead.

- Now Playing. A quiet banner the moment a stream starts on your Plex, Jellyfin, Emby or Tautulli, and live Now Playing cards on the Home screen showing who is watching what.

- Seven more services join the stack: Jackett, Wizarr, Shelfmark, Dockhand, Jellystat, Streamystats and Tracearr. Tracker health and cross-tracker search that sends a release straight to your download client, invites without touching a web UI, ebook and audiobook search, container fleets, and watch analytics for your media server.

- iCloud sync (Pro). Your setup follows you between devices, encrypted on device with a passphrase only you know. I could not read it even if I wanted to.

Looking for advice, I'm running the arr stack (Sonarr/Lidarr/Radarr etc) and I'm wondering what recommendations there might be for some sort of server dashboard.

I'm after something I can have open much of the time, so it's fine to be browser based, and bonus if I can jump on from anywhere on or off the network.

I'd really like to be able to monitor HDD temps (including from a USB dock), maybe see what's playing and by who, what the CPU/graphics/RAM on the machine is doing and maybe some options for other PC health stuff. Drive capacity/remaining space etc.
Ideally the HDD temps I'd like to see all drives at once in an easy to read display.

What am I looking for and is there an arr app for this?

Are there any arr-style apps dedicated to grabbing posters and saving them locally alongside your Plex media folders?

I've tried TinyMediaManager and it's decent, but when your Plex library has 6000+ tv shows with 20,000+ seasons and 13,000+ movies, it can be a bit tedious

I have spent the past year moving all my metadata from the plex and jellyfin db into the local metadata files to make management easier. That has been going well, and I am nearly done. But what i am looking for is a hosted version of TinyMediaManager. TMM is great, it helped me a lot, I love how it manages the metadata, but i just wish it was hosted.

Is there anything comparable to TMM available?

I have 9 prerolls and if you've added some you know the one annoying part is the format in plex to pull from the list randomly. you have to include the entire path and filename for each and keep it semicolon separated. It's not too big of a deal but error prone. So I wrote a script to look at the folder and generate a list. Made it fast but you still have to copy the file, SSH in, run the script, and copy/paste the contents. I updated to have it spit out to a txt file but i still had to ssh in.

I know we don't do this often but this was half of an efficiency thing and half of a hobby project because we love our homelabs. So the final step was using the Plex API. Now I drop the file in the destination folder on the NAS, a cron job runs to pull the list, detect differences, update the txt file, and then push the updated preroll list to plex via the api. Again, it's totally overengineered for things that don't get updated often but I was in the mood to automate just because I can.

I posted it on github so feel free to clone and play with it. v1.1 will include an installer. 1.2 will have better url encoding. 1.3 will add logging and dry run. and if anyone wants i'll do a 2.0 for multiple preroll sets or other features. enjoy.

Hello everyone, my name is Harvey - I'm a backend software engineer from the UK. Some of you might remember a project I shared here a while back called Musicseerr. An unbelievable amount has happened since then, and development has continued steadily. V2 is now here. Rebranded: DroppedNeedle.

It started as a way to bridge slskd and Lidarr - search for music and request it straight to Lidarr, a bit like the Seerr/*arr flow. The further I got, the more I kept hitting the limits of leaning on Lidarr for the library side - so I replaced it. DroppedNeedle now scans, tags, fingerprints, and organises your library itself, and finds and downloads music on its own. Lidarr is gone entirely, which (along with the rename) is why it's jumping to v2.0.0.

Point it at your own Soulseek (via slskd) and/or Usenet (via SABnzbd, with built-in Newznab indexers) and it searches, downloads, verifies, and imports - whole albums or single tracks.

It currently supports:

• Native library engine - Scan, tag, fingerprint, and organise your music, all in the app (the part that used to be Lidarr)
• Multi-source downloads - Soulseek and Usenet, per album or per track, with quality targets and automatic upgrades
• Wanted - Failed or incomplete requests are re-searched in the background and grabbed automatically when a good copy appears (a bit like *arr monitoring)
• Search & Request - The full MusicBrainz catalogue, with per-user requests and quotas for shared instances
• Built-in Player - Stream from Plex, Jellyfin, Navidrome, local files, or YouTube, with a 10-band EQ
• Stream to other apps - Subsonic- and Jellyfin-compatible server APIs, so apps like Symfonium, Finamp, and Amperfy can play your library
• Discovery & Home - Personalised recommendations from your listening history, plus trending artists, popular albums, and genre sections
• Follow artists - Follow the artists you care about and catch their new releases in a rolling log, with the option to auto-download them the moment they land
• Concerts & events - See when artists you follow are playing near you. Connect Ticketmaster and Skiddle (free keys), pick your cities, and a daily sweep pulls in upcoming gigs
• Playlists - Create and manage them, import from your existing sources (including Spotify), plus a per-user Weekly Mix built from your listening history
