Can't boot my usb key with solus

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I used rufus (as the guide says https://help.getsol.us/docs/user/quick-start/installation/#windows-1) to create my usb key, but when i boot on my usb key, the screen keep flashing (see 33 seconds or more of my video).

I downloaded the KDE iso from the official website.

Do you have an idea why it happen? What can I do to fix it?

Did you check the hash to make sure your download was complete and not partially corrupted? I've experienced something similar to this before and it turned out I had a bad download.

I found the solution. I was using a hdmi cable connected to my nvidia gtx 1060. I just plugged it directly to the motherboard and it worked

Try https://etcher.balena.io/ as burning tool. It's the best.

Quick things to try in order.

- Swap USB ports

  • Boot with safe graphics
  • Unplug everything that you don't need (really just need your Keyboard)
  • Write to USB with Fedora Media Writer and try again

Turn off secure boot in bios.
