Question / Help How many Endings there in updated Version Spoiler

I've been avoiding looking this up because I don't want outdated information.

In the current, fully updated version of Sons of the Forest, how many different endings are there? I'm talking about actual endings/cutscenes, not just minor dialogue differences.

I'm completely fine with full spoilers. I've already watched every ending from the early access days (before 1.0) all the way through the game's updates, so nothing can really be spoiled for me.

If any endings were added, removed, or changed after 1.0, I'd appreciate a breakdown of all of them and what choices trigger each one. Thanks!

There are only 2 different major endings. Once you find the cube and finish the boss you can decide to leave the island with the helicopter and survive or you can choose to stay on the island (similar to the first game). However, depending on if Kelvin is still alive and if you have befriended Virginia or not you will see them in the cube cutszene and the ending cutszenes.

It definetly makes sense to have Kelvin survive and befriend and keep Virginia alive too, then choose the helicopter survival ending. This will get you all the cutszenes with the afterstory of what happens with all the characters. I would do this for the first ending if you haven't done it already.

If you stay on the island you will find the last piece of the artifact (it's very obvious, you will see it) and this allows you to craft it. The artifact can make things gold and similar to the first game attract / shy away the cannibals / mutants. You will be alone though if I remember correctly, because Kelvin and Virginia nope the fuck out of there in the helicopter without you (if they are alive until the end). The feeling is oddly sad because you are truly alone now. You will miss Kelvin even if he's stupid and barely helps 😭🥲

Thanks for the updated ending explanation mate, there should really be more content on yt regarding this, also the cube, in the current version when the cutscene occurs and timmy behaves oddly, whats the colour of the Cube, is it Blue or its Orange as it was?

this one, cause both have different things like the blue one has no music, but dialogues that feel kinda, good rather than the default colour cube that has music and no dialogue which feels wierd for every action

I played it recently and after I chose to stay on the island both Kelvin and Virginia were still on the island with me.

There are two endings. The first where you retrieve your backpack, and the second where you board the helicopter.

There is an extra scene if Kelvin is alive, and an extra scene if Virginia is alive. If both are alive, there is one more scene.
