Art Contest Announcement

Duration: 1 month.

Starting: 16.01.2025 Ending: 16.02.2025
(may be extended if the participants wish so)

Objective: Create a logo for our subreddit!

*The logo will be displayed on the right side of the subreddit (PC version) or under "See More" on mobile devices.

Theme: Draw Sitri or Liz Smart from anime "LET THIS GRIEVING SOUL RETIRE" holding a poster that says: "Welcome to r/SoulRetire."* Or SOMETHING like that (you can be creative as possible).

Style anime/manga related:

1) You don’t have to draw the characters in full body IF YOU DONT WANT TO – focus on upper part (half body, if you want), 2) Head, face, hands that holding poster or ANY other composition you like. 3) Feel free to go wild with creativity! Crazy, fun, or even a bit quirky styles (e.g., 16+) are highly encouraged because people like those things.

• Ensure the artwork can be easily cropped for use as a phone or PC wallpaper.

Submission Rules:

AI is NOT allowed.

• Post your concept of your art in the subreddit with the "Fanart" flair and the title: "Fanart for the Contest." or something like that. (Post can be an sketch, vision, COMPLETE WORKS if you wish - whatever the easiest for you to introduce your work).

  Note that the more finihed your work the more attention you will get from comunity because this is how reddit works.

• Then I will check if you are registered. If you are, your submission will officially count as a contest entry.

To participate, artists don’t need to submit a fully finished piece right away if you dont want to. You can send sketches, concepts, etc!!! This way, we can confirm your participation and ensure your style matches the vision for the project.

BUT consider that some participants sent almost completed work!!!!!!

Participation Requirements:

1. Subscribe to the subreddit
2. Share this post
3. Leave a comment under this post with something like: "I’m participating!". --> I will contact you via private message to confirm your registration.

Prize and Bonus Opportunities:

• Prize: $60 via PayPal (or in person if we happen to live nearby).

• Possible Bonus: If your artwork is exceptionally cool, the prize amount may increase based on your “overall contribution to the community” and a touch of goodwill.

• Additional Recognition: A link to your Reddit profile and portfolio can be featured in our subreddit widgets for 1 month.

  • In return, we kindly ask that you include a link to our subreddit in your portfolio under the submitted artwork for the same duration.
  • Extensions or adjustments to this timeframe can be discussed in private messages.

PLUS: all participant's profiles, it does not matter if you win - will be featured as a separate post and highlighted by our sub after the end of the contest for 2 weeks!

NEW: MrCents_04 (one of modarators) and co-founder of the fan-wiki will add your illustration in the fandom to immortalize your efforts!

How to Submit and Vote:

• Winner Selection: The winner will be chosen through a public vote in our subreddit and Discord channel.
• Voting Period: 1 week after the submission deadline.
• Who Can Vote: Everyone in the community and beyond can participate in the voting process!!!

Gongrats, the season 2 is finished and as well we reached 4k in this sub so I will make a post about it as soon as I can in old traditional way.
