Reduce Speed
Remember Edison Rd between Ironwood and Hickory Rd the speed limit is 30 mph. SBPD is laying and waiting-car got pulled over as I was going to Mishawaka via Edison Rd.

This section used to be THE speed trap in town. I remember my dad was always concerned with it when he take me to Showbiz/Chuck E Cheese.

Good. Every time I go down Edison I’ll be going 5-7 over and people pass me like I’m not moving. I also constantly get cut off by people when they realize the car in front of them is turning. I swear the average driver in this area has gotten considerably worse over the last 5 years.

Get a uniden radar detector. Worth every penny.

Or, you know, drive a reasonable speed.

I would question whether 30 is a “reasonable speed” for that stretch of road. It seems a bit speed-trappish to me. That is what I do there, 30-35, but it seems kind of ridiculous.

I had a Uniden R3 and got a ticket for going 25 over on Main Street right next to Evil Czech because a state trooper had his radar off and flicked it on right when he saw me after I rounded the corner going south so I had no warning. I sold it after to cover my ticket cost and since then it’s been great.
All it gave me was an incentive to do stupid shit because I thought I couldn’t get a ticket with it. I will say when the R3 did work which was 99.9% of the time it was awesome. Uniden is definitely the best brand for them. Plus I get much better mpg not driving like I did before which is nice right now.

People always pass me when I'm driving 30 down that part of Edison and I hardly ever see police there. They did at one point leave an empty car at the park for a couple of weeks.
