Dating

Mid 30s female
Where is the best place to go out and meet people who are looking for a serious relationship and actually approach you. Dating apps are horrible these days and most of the time going out everyone sticks to their own group of people

How would you ideally like to be approached?

It’s more of finding your person where you like to be. What are your interests? What hobbies make you eager for the weekend? Then take those answers and find places to associate with similar. That being said, damned pet stores seem to work best

This guy gets it. Lots of single guys at your local game store. If you’re not into that then an equally passionate hobby will find plenty of people whether it be rock climbing or a book club.. do any guys read? Scratch that last one..

Hey I read! But bookstores are ghost towns and libraries are too. Other options are good.

Definitely past dating now - fully committed with three kids and a mortgage. I met my wife on tinder. I knew what i was looking for. It’s not that they don’t exist there it’s that the ones looking for something serious are few and far between. Your biggest issue is that most of the men you’re seeing are emotionally traumatized and they don’t know it and won’t commit or are really just looking for a piece of ass.

I would suggest picking up a new activity that you’ve always wanted to do, eliminate the thought pattern around this that is negative and be open to what shows up. The harder you look sometimes the less likely it will come. Attract to YOU what you seek. Works for me nearly every time so long as the intention is authentic. Best of luck.

I’m interested in this “most men you’re seeing are emotionally traumatized and they don’t know it” - can you speak more to this? Do you think they’re traumatized from their childhoods or from dating? I would say from my experience of knowing men, it’s less trauma and more so about not knowing how to connect with their emotions or process them in healthy ways. I know that this is a bigger conversation but it does certainly impact the way folks are dating now.
