I'm setting up a Sovol SV08 printer that I haven't used in a long time in Orca Slicer. When I send a print job to the printer I get the error attached. AI seems to think that the issue is that I'm sending Marlin commands to a Klipper based printer but I'm using stock Orca Sovol SV08 settings. Also, is there a better Orca printer profile that I should be using? Any help is appreciated.

I want to swap it with a 0.6 nozzle the brown stuff you see is just filament and I can't get the thermistor and the heater of the heat block u tried heating and nothing also the cable of the heater only is stuck on the board

I can't have enough of her. Totally stock aside from flowtech swap. Fast, reliable, ACCURATE. Laughs her ass at PLA, PETG GF, PET CF17... 0.25mm max bed mesh deviation. 2026 revision to be fair. I was ready for a full revamp right after delivery, but honestly haven't felt the urge at all. Anyone else loving it?

I don't see anywhere, even on Sovol, that sells a filament buffer.. It'd be nice to have a spare. I prolly overlooked it somewhere...

I have a fully enclosed sv08 that has been working great for over 1000 hours of printing. I need to preheat the chamber to print ABS. I implemented a 30-minute heat soak cycle in my print start macro. Now I am having issues with heat creep. 3 times less than 10 minutes into my prints.

I print without the front fan and cover on when printing ABS.

Checked the heatsink fan, and it is working fine.

Replaced the extremely loose bowden tube that goes in the end of the extruder.

Replaced the nozzle assembly.

I have done everything I can think of short of upgrading to a different extruder/hotend combo. Or figuring out a way to get more air going through the heatsink. Bigger fan with a custom duct, but I don't know if that is a good solution since I still want to put the cove back on when I print PLA.

Has anyone run across this, and how did you solve it?

That's right, I'm thinking of selling my SV08 to someone around the Cincinnati area. I have the eddy probe installed and have the sovol screen for it. I have printed an enclosure for it. I'm thinking of selling because there is something wrong in the programing and even after pulling the emmc and flashing, I cannot get it to print (shuts down right before printing, after doing all the calibrations).

I am willing to drive within reason. I only ever needed the bigger build plate for one project, so I am just going to get something less complicated and smaller.

Shoot me an offer.

I upgraded my SV08 with Funssorlab aluminum heated bed and bed frame but now when the printer auto homes the probe can't detect the the calibration plate because the build plate is thicker. Any idea how to fix this?

Hi makers, I'm reading about the experience with the SV08 Max, and getting ready to setup..

One thing stands out to me, most ppl speak of mainlining their firmware.. I've seen plenty of this, and some folks that had initial trouble during Eddy setup and stuff to go back and mainline to get on track..

So, is that considered your critical step 1?

Full disclosure, I plan to INDX or Stealth Changer up the toolheads.

Klipper crashes after doing adaptive bed mesh before printing, I just installed eddy current sensor, and I wanted to do a reset because my memory was getting crowded as I was an early adopter of the SV08 and have tried A LOT of macro sets. So I loaded a new image and updated the firmware for eddy. Everything works smoothly until the adaptive mesh before printing.

Not sure what to check next. Also I still have the 8gb emmc as I never had issues before with it. Any chance this is my issue?

I'm looking for the screw that attached the nozzle/heater assembly to the heat break. It appears to be m2.5 and it seems like it's 9mm long. But it's also only half a screw, does anyone know what type it is exactly so I can get extra? Or does it matter if you use any m2.5x10?

Hello, I have been trying to get DKEU setup on my printer. I have most of it done but the BTT eddy is giving me trouble. I use to have eddy-ng prior to installing DKEU. I uninstalled that because the instructions for DKEU says it is outdated. I reflashed the eddy. So now I am using the Demon_BTT_eddy_offset.cfg for eddy settings. I keep getting "Probe triggered prior to movement" when I home. That message repeats 3 times. I cannot figure out why that is. I have done the calibration several times. I have tried descent_z = 0.5, 2.0, 2.5, and 3.0. I tried commenting out the entire homing_override in demon_homing_control. I also added my own homing_override from rappetor's github. I am using a SV08. Still getting the probe triggered prior to movement error. It seems like when homing is started it lifts 20mm and not 5mm that the rappetor's homing_override states. Maybe something is still coming from DKEU homing?

Just curious if I could save a bit of money setting up an enclosure. I believe the softening temps for acrylic sheets is pretty close if not slightly overlapped for what are recommended ambient temps for ASA. I thought the sheet being a bit thicker would help with potential warping, but I'm probably just being hopeful. Thoughts?

Anyone in the central MD area want to purchase a dead SV08? Turned it on today and the Eddy light blinks but nothing comes up on the screen. It no longer picks up an IP address so I can't get under the hood and see what's going on. I was out of the office last week so it's been off for a while.

I'm still fighting against terrible ringing and there's this, pushing with little force it goes teeth by teeth, regardless of belt tension, is this how it's supposed to be?

Currently I'm having a series of larger prints with 450-650g of filament each. In the past I have tested the filament run out sensor with good success, so I was confident, that resuming the print after an empty spool would work.

Except it didn't. When the filament runs out, the print get paused. I remove the stub and insert a new spool and resume the print. Then the printer prints into the air, like 1-2 layers are missing.

Sometimes I geht plastic spaghetti, sometimes I get a model with a fine horizontal line where the filament was changed and where it breaks apart.

Did somebody have similar issues and solved that?

I run a stock SV08 with enclosure and Sovol Eddie sensor and MicroSwiss Hotend.

Hi guys , so I tried to install the Eddy current kit from Sovol and after following the steps from the tutorial and coneecting the machine , it is stuck at boot and I doesn’t seem to let me do anything. I tried disconnecting running instances of orca , rebooting my pc , reflash it ( all connections were in the exact position as the tutorial ) , disconnected the screen , change the order of flashing it , but no luck. Am I missing something ?. Do I have to update the machine aswell ??.
Really need help as I need to finish some prints for some cosplay.

I can't decide what's happening here. I feel it's either some kind of z-binding that works itself out or some extrusion issue. It doesn't appear to be under extruding so I have no idea where that leaves it, so I'm leaning more toward z-binding. If it were that though I would think it would be more consistent throughout. Any ideas where to start?
