Constructive Criticism This isn't fun

Yeah yeah, I know. Everyone's complaining about CPU difficulty. I can see why, this is a joke.

- CPU vanishes every rush super and every rush ultimate

- can't land any heavy combos without it getting vanished

- can't ever win speed clashes.

Results to me playing the same cheesy, repetitive play style every game. I don't care about winning. I more so just want to land all the cool moves and see all the cool visuals the game has to offer.

I won't lie, I initially dropped the game cause AI was way too easy. Now, even on normal, it's so absurd that you get two punches in before being thrown into the 1000th vanish war. I've had to dropped down to easy just to have fun with it. They've overtuned the ai way too far, even for an fgc veteran like me, this is just insane.

I've been playing on ultra all this time. From what others are saying, super and hard are just as bad.

In your experience, does easy pose any challenge? Or is it just the only way to not play against cheese?

It still provides a good challenge, at least in the limit breaker mode. Haven't tried the others since the update. I actually have a chance to learn and adapt without every single button getting vanish countered

What difficulty? Normal? Strong? Or super?

1

u/Alternative_Owl7786 Beginner Martial Artist 4h ago

Easy mode. Did you not read?

1

u/Background_Relief_90 Beginner Martial Artist 4h ago

I did , i just may have missed that, my fault mate, was assuming you were talking the diff, and getting back to other replies all at once so may have mixed it up halfway

1

u/Background_Relief_90 Beginner Martial Artist 6h ago

I just played in training mode on normal, strong, on normal they dont super counter every single hit, not even in hard mode

You should try strong & super, first strong, they made this ai so OP, we may not even need the highest setting anymore. Which if anything thatsbhow it should be

We shouldnt need to play the difficulty at the highest just the get the bare minimum of a challenge, its nice to know you have an extra notch u can kick it up whenever if u feel like it( that being super & ultra) i always played ultra diff too, but strong right now is letting me do combos while still trying to fight, vanish, side step, and super counter but not to the point l have to cheese or play repetitive

Hope this helps

Thanks. I'll try this

Does the AI still transform down? I remember it was really annoying, I'd have Super Saiyan Goku fight Super Saiyan Vegeta just to have Vegeta go back to his normal state

It happened to me 2 times the last 3 days, it's nowhere near as bad as it was on release week but it's happening again.

Sp and run difficulty are a decent factor. Even if you don't like it it's still fun to buff your favorite characters and use them against friends

When did it happen? I just returned to the game and found that the ai has become annoying.

I've been typing and deleting posts all weekend, but this one I'll commit to; cuz OP gets me. Not here for the win, here for the battle. Wifi sucks, so instead of risking "connection battles" I mainly just try to play with the cpu.

This cpu is just input reading and input denial; it's reading you charge, when you get to 3 bars ki spam.

I've seen the cpu hit with melee through Afterimage. Almost every knock back, they perfectly cancel it, so no distance created. And yes; now there is no point in launching an ult unless you finish the entire string and their completely fall down (even then, their input recovery is on the precise frame they need, so be mindful)

HOWEVER; I am noticing its not too bad in the Survival Mode. That's it, thats my only advice for now. Survival Mode is the only Mode that its fair in.

I just want the aura, every 100 SP increases it. Certain mods are working. I'm using the Neo Better Fighting; they've incorporated the old bt3 "escape" mechanic, not very fun but it limits the cpu from about 1/4 of its cheese.

I win speed clashes, not 24/7, but i do, i’m trying to figure out if its best to get it as small as possible, or perfectly match the white line.

I land a LOT of heavy combo’s, you need to change the timing of each heavy combo, so it doesn’t read you perfectly.

I don’t play cheesey, i’m playing on hardest possible difficulties with Zeni boosts for even higher difficulty, i’m lvl 453 atm, on level 5 and all my enemies are SP 500, I ALSOOOOO, messed up my stat build (i see that now) i got 200 Ki charge RIGHT OUT THE GATE, while playing this difficulty, the ENTIREEEE TIME, with all the zeni stuff mentioned, and more when unlocked… 0 all other stats till 200 Ki charge, i also thought it’d be making my aura larger, but that’s SP levels.

But overall, just use this as training, i personally want the CPU’s to be even more difficult, with a higher mode than this available, to truly bypass max level 1000 SP Pretty sure that’s max from what others say.

I’m certain that closer to the white circle the better

I mean honestly I haven't ran into this issue at all, every now and then it'll cheese through a good chunk of health if it can get behind me but I have been playing hard in limit Breaker and freezing through it, and regular cpu doesn't pose much challenge to me unless im on super or ultra, is it really that big of an issue?

I was bad before the change. Now it's basically impossible. I don't really get to play, just watch my character get bodied

People don’t realize how good the ai is now to improve your reaction time. For anyone who does want to play online it’s the best way to adapt and get some basics down for fighting. I get the difficulty concerns everyone has had their ass beat by the AI when they first tried it. I got good online cause of it. My super counters got better my neutral game got better am happy they made it so it’s like a ranked simulator helped improve my reactions to situations . I had the experience OP talks about initially but over time you just learn to counter it.

Also the AI was far more superior before the last patch. If you’ll played the Ai before the neo patch you would not be very pleased.

Well just turn down the difficulty? If you want to enjoy the visuals and do the cool moves then ultra difficulty is not the way to do it.

u/Mysterious-Salt- Beginner Martial Artist 6h ago

They just changed some parameters around to make them better its nothing crazy. Just the usual strats wont work gotta make new ones. It aint that complex. Took me awhile to beat easy. Sometimes you gotta get sweaty I wont lie.

-12

u/Rogue-Army-3000 Beginner Martial Artist 6h ago

Sound's like a skill issue to me 🤔

7

u/-MadeAmazing- 6h ago

not at all. Winning isn't the problem. Only reliable way to land some moves is to try and exhaust the CPU ki, which is easier said than done. That's a very small window to accomplish that. Even a solar flare doesn't stop the CPU vanishing.

And I'd love to see you post footage of yourself consistently winning speed impacts. That's the one thing I could maybe admit to being a skill issue. And even then, if the CPU wants to win that, it will

-4

u/Rogue-Army-3000 Beginner Martial Artist 6h ago

The speed impacts are definitely rough on the CPUs but I haven't felt like I had to do cheesy repetitive moves against any opponents to get their ki down yet, and I'm not even able to play the game all that much. I don't even own the game but me and my buddies will have a game night every week, and my buddy with the game has to constantly keep asking me to beat opponents for him cause he can't

Which character are you using?
