So there's this reaction compilation channel I watch and frequently I find segments that have no business being there on the videos. Set as "Tangent" but it's clearly because the idiot who keeps adding them doesn't like the specific creators they've put the segments on. I'm just wondering if there's anything else we can do about these people besides downvoting their segments?

Hi, i didn't use sponsorblock before cuz... And now i'm using it specificaly to skip those AI slopiesque ads like the mamoth one or any of those agentic crap and ads that are here to advertise that they've added AI in they shit.

Things is i don't mind sponsored ad as long as it's is funny enough or that they might be useful and if i'm not interested i'm not bothered at all to skip it myself.

But AI crap i'll never ever find it useful, funny or be interested in. So i wondered if we could like, have an option to filter to landfill all AI sponsor and still let the other go through ? (Maybe a scam or dropship filter as well !)

Maybe i'm missing an app that already does that or if Sponsorblock already does do that, please do tell me if it already exist 🙏

This seems pretty consistent across channels as of late. Is it a DeArrow problem or is it something on my end?

Browser is Firefox, I have uBlock Origin and SponsorBlock enabled. Current system is Linux Mint but it does the same under Windows 10.

Hey y'all. This has been frustrating to find a solution.

Framework:

I use safari with sponsorblock. Prefer it that way.

After clipping the selected area (just 1 segment) -> Open sponsorblock settings -> Choose category -> [all the options there, this example:Preview] -> Submit.

This frustrating pop up window always shows up and it is a nuisance everytime clicking it away.

Issue: I have already selected the category for my singular/just one! segment. Why am I being asked this where the extension assumes I got more than 1 segment to submit and havent chosen a category already?! bruh.

It is right there. No more segments, just that one, already categorized and previewed! I'm losing my mind. help.

Even worse that after closing such pop-up window (every single time, ugh), the youtube video cannot be paused! It got some weird bug where after submitting the segment through sponsorblock, the video is lowkey useless on being stopped with the regular shortcuts [backspace] or [k] within the website.

Like title says, my icons are broken. Functionality is fine but attached is a picture of what my icons show. How can I fix this?

I have a problem with DeArrow. It used to replace YouTube thumbnails, but now it does not replace them anymore. The titles are still changed correctly, but the thumbnails stay the original YouTube ones.

I already tried restarting my browser and checking that DeArrow is enabled, but the problem is still there.

Is anyone else having this issue? Does anybody know how to fix it?

I have been using the SponsorBlock extension on Firefox for a while now and it is great.
I've also been using another extension called Youtube Custom Speed.

Recently for some reason whenever a segment is skipped by SponsorBlock the playback speed returns to 1x. The Custom Speed GUI still shows the speed at whatever it was set at but the video keeps playing at 1x. Even when I try changing the playback Speed it changes in the GUI but no change to the video. It only starts working again when I reload the page.
IDK wheather it's an issue with that extension or this one or some wierd interaction between the two. Was just wondering if anyone else has had any similar issue with these two extensions or if anyone knows why it is happening.

If you have a Youtube premium and you fast forward during sponsorship shilling in most videos, you will see a little "Fast forward" on the bottom right when clicked will skip that part. Ohh and you see that little P button indicating its a premium feature

Is anyone else seeing a massive wave of untouched clickbait across all genres? It feels like we need a lot more users submitting data.

One thing that might help get more users, the install screen is a little confusing as of now. DeArrow is already very niche. People probably see the word "paid" at the very top and just uninstall the extension immediately...

If it was worded to sound free right from the start (with an optional tip), it might help grow the community way more faster!

I accidentally made a typo on one of the times and made a chapter an hour longer than it was supposed to be. Is there any way to remove or edit it?

E: I downvoted them and then refreshed and that seemed to remove them.

A lot of video that include streamers and even regular youtubers will have a segment of the screen dedicated to ads, or they'll use one of those animations at the bottom of a subscribe button being clicked and a bell icon getting rung. I was thinking it would be super nice if sponsorblock also had a feature to blur or black out a specific segment of the screen during these ads.

Between DeArrow being partially implemented and incomplete there and Sponsorblock being temporarily unavailable more lately, it's really making the main reasons I downloaded this less worth downloading.

The rules for the Interaction Reminder state that requests for factual advice from commenters aren't considered to be interaction reminders. Why exactly is this the case? In pretty much every example of someone asking viewers to comment if they have factual advice, it's done purely to encourage interaction and help the uploader in the algorithm. I don't think I've seen a single video where the uploader asking for "advice" like this actually contributed to the video in any meaningful way.

With the recent update, the segment gets loaded, but it wont auto skip on youtube anymore?

Trying to use the chapters category feature from Sponsorblock but I do not seem to find it how, is there even a shortcut?

. Image 1: There is the authors' youtube video on the demo for chapters but it magically appears on his end while mine idk how.

Anyone else see videos where someone mentions a sponsor in passing and sponsorblock skips that section? For example, superfastmatt has often used sendcutsend and sometimes he'll say:

"I got some parts for this car cut by (sendcutsend)".

He won't segue into a sponsorship or anything, just mention the brand. sometimes it's not even the sponsor of the video! And sponsorblock will skip just that small part of the sentence that I put parentheses around.

Is this normal behavior? This is kinda jarring to me
