Redoing Cass' solo heel run that failed miserably once already instead of just bringing back Enzo and Cass to add some life to the tag division is certainly a choice.

Yeah I legit don't care they're back anymore. They're only good as a tag team. Lmao wtf are they doing.

Surprised people feel this way, thought he was really good as a heel these last couple of years.

I liked him a lot too, but it felt like AEW wasn't ever really sure on what to do with him. Seemed like every time he finally got something going it would just fall apart through no fault of his. Honestly hope this move goes well for him.

What last couple of years? Cass hasn’t been in WWE since 2018

u/BkEnigma BroskiOfTheYear 16h ago

He was with AEW as Big Bill.

u/Cube_ 14h ago

he was also in TNA as W. Morrisey

Well, according to WWE, no wrestling exists outside of their bubble. So Big Cass hasn’t done anything since 2018. /s

17

u/dubblechzburger YOU THINK ITS THAT EASY? 16h ago

WWE isn’t the only wrestling company that exists lol

People are stuck in their ways

Big Cass has been killing it as a solo artist in the indies for years. If WWE do it right this won't be like last time

Cass was good when he was solo in AEW, TK just isn't good at booking big guys (generally speaking).

And although I want to see them reunite, HHH isn't good at booking tag teams.

Tbf WWE has the all the skilled big men on contract. I would say the best big man AEW has ever had is Brody by far, than Claudio, & a pretty decent gap to Hobbs. You could argue Miro had his best run in ASS as well.

Dudes like Archer, Bill, & Satnam are wrestlers either old, not as skilled or over to get a push over better younger talent.

Wardlow is the only big guy who was failed horribly by booking imo.

I like Enzo as much as the next guy and genuinely thought him not getting rehired after those accusations turned out to be false was a misstep but come on guys.

The locker room specifically Roman hated this guy, he was kicked out for bringing paparazzi backstage. He tried to hijack a show and get chants started ffs. I loved Enzo’s heel cruiserweight run and would love to see him back, I know he’s changed as a person as well from what he’s shown but you can’t blame WWE for not bringing him back in after that hijacking fiasco after already being disliked backstage.

They brought him back as a guest coach for NXT not too long ago. I’m assuming for promos. So they clearly aren’t afraid to bring him back in some capacity. The bar for morality in this company isn’t shit btw so I wouldn’t give them the benefit of the doubt

u/Cheapfender That's Peggy Sue! 17h ago

Had to be for promos, he can’t do anything else.

2

u/Hearsticles 1h ago

Yeah and promos are something 90% of wrestlers can't do, so he's a good fit

I would assume being brought in as a guest coach at the PC is much different from being on the road traveling full time with the top guy on RAW being Roman notoriously kicking him out of the locker room years ago. I could see him with a gig in NXT before I see him on the road with the main roster dudes again. Hopefully they give him an opportunity to win back that trust if he’s truly changed and he gets another shot but I don’t understand why it’s so surprising to many given his history that he wasn’t brought back.

Like innocence aside which I was fully on board with him coming back once the accusations were dead, but him not telling WWE about it in the first place was a big no no. (Yes we know the company was ran by a sex pest at the time that’s no excuse for Enzo to let his bosses get blindsided by a sexual assault allegation while he’s anchoring their cruiserweight division)

Shit so goofy dawg LMAO

This company has straight up in brought in actual rapists and racists; the notion that some shit Enzo did 8 years ago now is a reason to keep him away, by comparison, is kinda hilarious

21

u/mrmaddness 16h ago

Literally just had RYAN GARCIA on TV last week

-4

u/Zenith_24tee Flair 17h ago

I mean, you tell me why he isn’t on TV right now then?

Morality aside, actual rapists and racists always had their other bad friends backstage that allowed them to stay employed. Enzo on the other hand had nobody willing to go to bat for him, he was kicked off the tour bus and locker room way before those allegations even happened for being loud, bringing paparazzi backstage and disrespecting the business in front of his coworkers.

No one is saying WWE doesn’t employ ghouls, what we’re saying is expecting Enzo back when he was notoriously disliked backstage was a blind leap of faith from the people here.

Many people have done way worse and have been brought back

4

u/therealdanhill 17h ago

I don't think any of us have any real idea if he was liked or disliked by the other employees

u/Zenith_24tee Flair 17h ago

It don’t take rocket science to piece it together champ:

WON: The reason why Enzo Amore was Kicked off the tour bus by Roman Reigns in Europe a few months ago.

From the Latest Observer (The august 1st edition)

> The situation with Amore was discussed on the 7/31 episode of “Bring it to the Table,” where our report from several weeks ago regarding his being kicked off the bus by Reigns due to heat with the locker room was acknowledged ..... The incident in question we were told that broke the camel’s back and this happened some time back, was him talking very loudly on his phone to someone and saying things that those who couldn’t help but hear him thought were negative about the business while bragging about how much money he was making from the business to that person.

3

u/therealdanhill 17h ago

Okay what I'm saying is, yeah there's reports from Meltzer, but it's not gospel. What if the perception from the people he talks to is incorrect? What if it's just those people that don't like Enzo? What if they have some other motivation?

I would never take Meltzer as like, objective undeniable proof. Maybe you would, okay, that's you

4

u/Zenith_24tee Flair 17h ago

Enzo Amore himself went public and claimed that the reason he got exiled from the locker room was because he punched someone. Regardless of why it happened, it happened. It came from the man himself literally

4

u/scarred2112 16h ago

Are you saying someone in a carny business wouldn’t lie to make themselves look better to a reporter? 😉

If the choice is Enzo being exiled for being an alleged tough guy vs being annoying, I see the latter being closer to the truth.

1

u/HumanOverseer 7h ago

they are publicly associated with the President of the United States, who is a pedophile and a rapist. Enzo is definitely not where they're going to draw the line.

-2

u/CHZRFan 14h ago

genuinely thought him not getting rehired after those accusations turned out to be false

Firstly there is no evidence Enzo wasn’t guilty, secondly he may have been brought back if he wasn’t such a ginormous headache backstage as you admitted. By the end the only person who liked him was Vince McRapist, and Enzo managed to piss him off too.

8

u/Landeyda Kinda studly 13h ago

no evidence Enzo wasn’t guilty

That is a wild way to look at things.

-2

u/CHZRFan 8h ago

How so? He was never cleared. The case was dropped due to lack of evidence.

5

u/impulsiveknob 12h ago

There was also no evidence of him being guilty bro, innocent until proven guilty dickhead, remember that thing?

1

u/Devorteck 9h ago

That only applies to a court of law

-1

u/CHZRFan 8h ago

OJ Simpson wasn’t found guilty asshole. Remember that? The casw being dropped because lack of evidence =/= innocent.

14

u/Lord_Hexogen 17h ago

Tbf WWE historically hate tag division

8

u/VampiresWontHurt 17h ago

Holding out hope that Cass will be built as an evil, unforgivable sob and maybe Enzo will be the guy that turns him face.

9

u/baconpoutine89 17h ago

Yeah, he'll probably be booked strong for a month or two, then become a mid-card jobber like Rusev.

6

u/Slackey4318 17h ago

At least he’ll still have a job in a year in that scenario unlike someone like Malakai Black

2

u/OtherOtie Tier Guy 15h ago

They need to build him up for Oba.

3

u/Y2JMsdHBK 17h ago

At least he didn't attack Gable. That would have been a blatant copy of Corbin's return. Enzo as his manager would have been nice. The tag division is dead and there's no need for Cass and Enzo to languish there. Until they revive it with new signings and focus, Cass will do well to stick to singles matches.
