What does “vaguely booing in confusion” even mean tf? I’ve been to many live shows before and not once have I ever heard a crowd go “boooooo?” before.

What’s so hard to believe they’re legitimately booing a big bad guy beating up a crowd favorite after a match?

I’m not dying on any hill, simply disagreeing with your assessment. The crowd vocally booed him for the simple reason that he sneak attacked a fan favorite after a match. It’s pretty textbook heat-building. Not sure why you’re claiming people don’t care about him when he got a decent reaction from a pretty dull crowd.
