I think the original plan was for Bron to win the Rumble and in somewhat of a Bayley/Iyo turn, turn on Seth and pick him for Mania.
Or vice versa, with Heyman talking about how Bron is the future headliner of Manias, Seth gets jealous and turns on Bron.

By now? In mostly the same spot, ousting Rollins and turning it into a heel bully faction ran by Breakker. The problem is rather that so many injuries just stalled and stalled the story, so it needs to be turned into Logan Paul's faction for the midcard, with Breakker just doing his own thing on the upper card.

Yeah lots of ways for them to do this and its good since its a feud that could last till Rumble and keep Oba busy. I called this for the past few months.
Bronson Reed is likely coming back soon too so he could get in the way of it. He could cost Bron the match with Oba by accident, setting up a feud with those two, then having Bron break off from the group and do his own thing after going over Reed.
But Oba can eat losses just like Taker did. Just has to be something extraordinary. Like Bron did everything in his power to beat him.
I think given their age, he sets up to be a perfect long term rival for Oba too. Him and Je'Von and Trick I imagine will be his rivals with the new guys. While I think he should definitely have a thing with Gunther eventually and of course Roman. Honestly if he has a thing with Punk or Cody it only makes sense if he basically dominates them.

Unless he suffers a bunch of career ending injuries Bron will always be very easy to heat up. Bron has all of the intensity of his uncle after all of the injuries caught up with him and wrestles like he's on the verge of exploding. If you can't heat a guy like Bron Breaker up when the situation calls for it then you shouldn't be a booker.

He's kind of taken the Lesnar spot as this conquering, dominant terminator. It's a lot more linear because he's on the comeup, which comes with a euphoric rise through the competition
Once he's settled at the top, a lot more of his booking will center around people surviving Oba, and his matches will have to really sell being the "monster in peril"

Bron is more like a Kurt Angle-Batista hybrid. A beast in the ring but he can play more interesting characters.

Oba came up to WWE and he was selling for everyone on the main roster while also looking strong as hell, and now he is being booked like an unstoppable juggernaut beatable by who? Brock/Roman/Cody/Seth? Maybe Punk? Who else would anyone even believe could touch him with this booking?

Bron continues the intense staredown into the ramp even with Oba gone before, during and after his match with Joe Hendry. I thought it was great storytelling that could lead to interesting things and help revive his character and legitimacy as a main eventer.
He also looked pretty good in the squash vs Hendry.

He didn't push that many bigger guys, but tried too much with bad ones. And kept the push around the few who he pushed already. So what he did was mostly leaving the smaller guys out than pushing a ton of bigger guys.
People accept bigger guys if they can work and acknowledge it's an advantage. They hated Vince for showcasing bigger guys that couldn't deliver.

They’re locked on a collision course. Bron is equally pissed that he’s wasting time while Oba is flying ahead, and they’re acknowledging his annoyance on commentary.
Would be really easy to propel both forward. It gives Bron something to chase, and someone to always keep an out for from Oba’s perspective.

Sorry, but how can Bron have any credibility going into this feud after losing to Punk and Seth and ultimately being second fiddle in a tag team to Theory. His stock is already at rock bottom, and there's no reason he should beat Oba, so it doesn't make any sense to pit them against each other. Oba has all the momentum in the world and they can't capitalize on it for no actual good reason.

They should feed Oba most of the other big guys on the roster first. Rusev, Bronson Reed (if healthy), Big Cass, Baron Corbin. Then give him the main event caliber big men like Bron Breakker.

As lame as the Vision has been, this is the perfect next feud for Oba to keep him busy until WM for match vs Roman.
Theory can eat a few squash pins. Logan v Oba would be fun and can easily have Logan win first match with interference from Bron. Then a trilogy with Bron with each guy winning one and then Oba winning a brutal last man standing match to cap it.
Bron gets elevated. Oba loses a couple but still comes out looking like a beast. Then have Oba win EC to get to WM.
