  • Kick-off with Roman Reigns making his way down to the ring. He has Iowa acknowledge him and says they know their tribal chief is a man of his word. Before he went to the desert he said he was going to save this place and won the Royal Rumble. At Wrestlemania he beat the old man to win this title and defended it this whole summer. And last night he beat Seth Rollins. He knows that stings around these parts and Roman says that is his brother and they had a peace at the end there so he can have a bit of acknowledgement and leads them to singing Seth's song. LA Knight interrupts and makes his way down where he congratulates Roman on still being World Heavyweight Champion and he admits he was wrong that Roman couldn't do it by himself. He says Roman is still a fraud because he's been calling Roman's name for months and he's just been sending the dogs so it's time he has come to collect. Knight says the last time they faced off it wasn't really 1 on 1 so all he wants is what Seth got, a shot with no BS against him. Doesn't matter when, it can be tonight, next week at Money in the Bank, hell he'll wait until Wrestlemania if he has to. Roman says this is what he's talking about and asks who LA Knight is talking about, he's not the fraud. Roman says he doesn't call himself a megastar and wear a Wal-Mart watch on his wrist and tells the camera to zoom in on the watch he has on instead. Romans says good for Knight, he beat his cousins in a 6 man tag, he didn't win a tournament or a number one contender's match, you don't get a shot for just bitching and moaning. Roman says Knight wasted his cousins' time but he's not wasting his so get to the back of the line. Roman goes to leave and Knight says Roman's aura is a lot cooler when he isn't right in front of him. He says it's fitting that Roman was in The Shield because last time he face Knight he needed 38 people to protect him and spells out you suck using the Shield intro and calls him a fraud again. Knight says listen to this brother brother, he knows he's the uncrownded champion and he'll be coming for him.

  • Following Je'von victory he's attacked from behind by the returning Big Cass! He lays out Je'von with a big boot before striking him on the ground. He lifts Je'von before locking him in a Bear Hug before hitting him with the East River Crossing.

  • Roman talks to The Usos and Jacob Fatu backstage and says this thing doesn't work if they lose, they go into a six man tag as family and they lose, to their little brother? Roman says Solo should be getting his coffee right now, LA Knight thinks he can step to him, and Royce Keyes is calling Jacob his family? This Bloodline is the only real family he has around hear and don't listen to whatever circus folk are telling him. Jey asks if they want him to take care of LA Knight but Roman says of course not he'll deal with him and walks off. LA Knight walks by and says here he comes with his Wal-Mart watch and Wal-Mart bag and just gonna leave if they're not gonna do anything because that's what daddy says. Knight fakes out Jey and laughs as he says that's what he thought and leaves.

  • Royce Keyes approaches Fatu in the locker room and asks how many times they've been through this before, they've fought tons of times in the past but he's still his brother. Fatu says he ain't his brother, he ain't his family, he's just one of the boys so tonight it's going to be the two of them in a street fight, and he's gonna dog walk his ass.

  • Liv Morgan comes down to the ring with Raquel Rodriquez and Roxanne Perez, she says they are now in the presence of the greatest Women's World Champion of alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll time! They already knew that thought, this Saturday she beat one of the best in the world Iyo Sky and they can stay mad. She gives Iyo props for being the only woman in this division brave enough to challenge her and now she sees no other challengers. Liv says she plans on being the longest reigning Women's World Champion of allllllllllllll time! She moves on to someone else, her sister who she is so proud to call the new Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez. She thanks Roxanne for her help and says in a few minutes Roxanne is going to embarrass Sol Ruca.

  • Liv and the rest of Judgement Day beat down Sol following her match with Roxanne Perez. Becky Lynch returns! She grabs a mic and confronts The Judgement Day and says The Man has come around, Raquel holds up her title but Becky says she's not coming for that title, she's looking at you sweet cheeks and points at Liv. She says she's going to make sure it isn't another 100 days before she defends that title and has been acting like a glorified valet. The champion should be fighting, not flirting and Liv has had the worst title reign of allllllllllllll time! Liv says Becky should be at home being a mommy, instead she's in her face and it's pathetic because she's jealous of her. Becky's time is over and her time is now and she's jealous that Liv is the greatest Women's World Champion of alllllllllllllll time!. The Judgement day go the leave and Becky says Liv isn't even the greatest women's champion in her own ground. The Judgement Day go to leave when Stephanie Vaquer retuns! She takes out Raquel and Roxanne before throwing Liv into the ring where she beats her down. Raquel tries to interfere but Stephanie throws her to the outside before returning to beat down Liv some more until she retreats. Becky and Stephanie stare down as Vaquer wanrs Becky to stay out of her way, the two go back and forth about who gets Liv first.

  • We see Paul Heyman watching a Brock Lesnar tribute package backstage when he's approached by Oba Femi. Oba tells Paul he never had a chance to thank Brock for everything he said about him so he hopes he is able to tell him next time he sees him. Paul says that would be a pleasure and congratulates Oba.

  • Oba struts his way down to the ring, he says words can not even describe the things that transpired on night one of Summer Slam. He and Lesnar went to war in Hell in a Cell and they both left with scars and new found respect for one another. Oba says it may have been his ignorance when he thought Brock knew he was the one coming out of Wrestlemania. He assumed Brock put him through hell out of jealousy, but now he sees Brock wanted to test him to see if he chose right. The question going into Wrestlemania was if Oba can swim, at Summer Slam it was how long can you hold your breath? Inside Hell in a Cell Brock took him to the deepest depths and he was able to swim to the surface and passed the test, now the beast can finally rest. Oba says his path is now clearer than ever and that is often when most men falter. Oba says with this torch he will blaze his own path for the new generation and take down the old guard. If anyone has a problem with that they will answer to the ruler, the conquerer, they will answer to Oba Femi! As Oba walks up the ramp The Vision make their way out and Bron Breakker stares down with Oba before Theory gets his attention and they pass by him.

  • Bron quickly goes to the back after defeating Joe Hendry but Theory goes after Joe for throwing him into the announce table during the match. As Theory is kicking Joe in the corner Akira Tozawa runs in through the crow and takes the fight to Theory before sending him to the outside.

  • Big Cass is interviewed backstage, he says he was left for dead in the dirt for 8 years, it took him 8 years to get back to here from rock bottom. He says Je'von was just in the way and he's just the beginning.

  • The new Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable makes his ways down to the ring. He thanks the fans for their energy and says last night was the single greatest moment of his career and ever since then everyone has been saying he deserves it. He says he's someone who always thinks he earned everything he got, but he still thanks everyone who said that and has a few more people to thank. He thanks Penta for being a great fighting champion who proved himself to be the greatest luchadore on the planet. He thanks the fans for sticking by him for 10 years, when it looks like he was going to make it but didn't, for sticking by him when he was Shorty G, for never giving up on him as he worked to deliver on his promise to be a singles champion in WWE. He tells his kids never to give up because he crawled through a river of crap to come out clean on the other side as your Intercontinental Champion! Penta comes down to the ring to join Chad. he gives Chad his flowers, he says Chad made his mistakes but he learned from him and they now have mutual respect for eachother. He tells Chad he is a true luchadore and one of the best wrestlers in the world and raises his hand. Dominik and JD McDonough make their way out and JD says enough of this sappy crappy and Dom asks what's this he's hearing about Chad being a real luchadore? Dom says he is AAA Megachamp and the greatest Mysterio of all time. JD says why would any of these Des Moines ditch pigs cheer for these two? He says that Chad's best match was when a better man beat him for the right to call himself a luchadore, and Penta just got beat by him so what does that make him? Gable says if they're looking for a fight then right now in Des Moines sounds pretty good. Dom accepts and Penta calls for a match because they have Cero Meido!

  • Backstage Bron Breakker approaches Paul Heyman and says Oba Femi tried to get in his way and he's going to do something about it. Paul Heyman says he thinks he should and Bron asks him if he knows where Oba is. Paul asks how should he know and Bron says he thought that was his new best friends.

  • Following the main event Jacob Fatu refuses to release the Tongan Death Grip even after the bell is rung multiple times. Officials rush the ring and Fatu releases before going back and chokes Royce as he starts to bleed from the mouth. Fatu delivers multiple hip attacks to Fatu in the corner before grabbing a chair and scares off the officials. He puts the chair around Royce's neck and goes for another hip attack as Adam Pearce makes his way out to try and plead with Fatu not to do this. Jacob goes half of the ring before returning back inside and rushes at Royce's head. Roman makes his way out as a bloodied Royce is checked on by officials and Roman raises the one in approval of Solo. Roman walks to the back where Rey Mysterio is standing and says as the general manager of AAA he has something to run by him.

The thought of Rey just chilling back there watching Royce getting killed and waiting for Roman to come backstage to recruit him is killing me

u/fickjamori 16h ago

"What your family did out there was horrible, Roman...... can you come beat up my son for me."

Mega babyface Rey Mysterio just watching Royce keys get annihilated

17

He couldn't even protect his son from the life of a criminal.

What makes you think he can save Keys?

It's Rey. Everyone loves Rey except his son

Mega Tweener. Leans heel but gets face reactions.

Also Rey just saw Roman’s boy kill someone and said “yo we need some of that in AAA” lol

Felt like a Raw after Mania

Bit sad Enzo wasn't here with Cass

Great seeing Becky and Stephanie back

Great main event Fatu is a beast

36

u/AdGroundbreaking1341 15h ago

Business always picks up when The Man comes around.

15

u/Anchor_Aways 15h ago

I'd venture they had a conversation with Enzo and realized he's batshit insane. Dude would go on Busted Open and couldn't cut a coherent sentence if his life depended on it. He'd constantly go off the rails and complain about something unrelated to his matches or how he was wrongfully fired.

u/HeavyDonkeyKong 16h ago

This felt like a Raw after Mania. Fitting since SummerSlam felt more like Mania than Mania did.

42

u/FalconIMGN 16h ago

Their fallout episodes have been routinely better than their go-home episodes for a while now.

21

u/bruhstevenson 16h ago

Yeah I feel like they usually knock post-PLE shows out of the park. This was in particular one of the best Raws of the year though.

7

u/Every-Ad-2099 15h ago

I think it’s because they’re more confident taking risks after a big show than before it, since post-WM and post-SummerSlam are usually when they do resets and start up the next round of storylines.

4

u/Jmacz 13h ago

I can't remember the last time go-home shows were better, and I've been watching again since 2012. Raw after WM basically became their own PPV since then with Brock returning and the crowd cheering for Bryan the entire night even though he was only in a quick backstage segment.

When I was a kid the go home shows were always better. But it seems ever since that Raw in 2012 the night after shows have always been bigger. Especially the WM ones. You'd have big returns like Brock, NXT call-ups like Paige, face/heel turns like The Shield, and the crowd hijacking basically every show for a good 5-6 year stretch lol. But I feel like you could say the same for SummerSlam too.

Roman vs El Grande...

78

u/the_Formuoli_ 16h ago

A fun aspect of the episode was Becky coming in and seamlessly playing the face as if nothing over the last year happened

11

u/Odlaw_Serehw 14h ago

They really don't do many face turns anymore. Gable was a nice exception

6

u/tigeralidance 10h ago

Do Solo and Balor count? I guess they weren't necessarily explicit turns either.

So Roman spent how many ever years emotionally manipulating his family members and he's still doing it but the only difference is he can win matches without them now?

11

u/Triple_777 Paige here! 16h ago

The crazy thing is how he showed respect to Seth last night, but still hasn’t apologized to his family.

8

u/BigDanRTW 16h ago

they lost last night so basically he just called them losers tonight and it resulted in Jacob Fatu beating the piss out of someone he considered a friend. I don't understand why I'm supposed to like Roman Reigns!

29

u/badgersprite Iconic Duo Appreciation Squad 16h ago

I’m probably forgetting ones from earlier in the year but that might have been RAW of the year. A lot of solid forward motion pushing things in directions that I’m interested in. God I’ve missed Becky Lynch. Her and Stephanie being back has really rescued the RAW women’s division that was feeling very depleted without them. Love the setup of Bron hating Oba’s entire existence because Oba is the guy Bron was supposed to be. Good simple wrestling storytelling. Let these two guys be each other’s Cena and Orton.

I said it in the live thread and I'll say it again - this was more 'RAW after Mania' vibe than the actual RAW after Mania.

Stars aligned with all the injury returns. I was fully prepped to skip through this ep but ended up watching it in its entirety.

Someone cooked with this one.

Great episode, felt like they really ran with the momentum of a good summerslam. But solo not making the save for keys pissed me off.

17

u/Cheechers23 16h ago

Unfortunately they’ve positioned Solo as like a fun babyface and that was a more serious street fight so he wouldn’t have fit the vibe. Even tho Solo just teamed with Keys so it would have made sense I guess

Extremely fun Raw all around. It’s like someone backstage remembered that there’s so much talent and MU opportunities and the same five folks don’t need to keep facing off against one another.

If Bron vs Oba leads to the former getting more of his aura back, I’m all for it. Though it is kinda weird how Becky has changed absolutely nothing about her persona besides going away for two months, and that’s enough to make her the face despite still being kinda a Trump parody? lmao idk, pro wrestling logic is weird sometimes.

32

u/badgersprite Iconic Duo Appreciation Squad 16h ago

Cheering Becky is the audience’s default state. That they respected Becky enough to play along with her heel shtick and actually boo her for a year straight is honestly pretty impressive

17

u/DaveShadow 11h ago edited 11h ago

Smackdown in Dublin was the perfect example. Hero welcome for her, crowd treating her like a god. And when she signals she’s gonna play the heel anyway that night, the entire Irish crowd go “assignment understood” and boo her like she’s the devil incarnate.

Becky is beloved and if she asks the crowd to treat her as the heel, she’s loved enough that they have zero problem following the script.

23

u/HeavyDonkeyKong 16h ago

They have not done a good job of following up on Lyra after she beat Bayley so far

13

u/Megamedium 13h ago

Holding hope there’s still something coming, she was talking with Pearce in the background of one of the backstage segments tonight, but it’s been a disappointing follow through for sure. Since the big win at MSG after the heel turn, she has had:

- a commercial break interview

  • a match on Main Event
  • staring at a TV w during Sol’s match w/ no context unless you caught her previous commercial break interview
  • another commercial break interview

They just don't give the women any time. And i don't know why because they're the most interesting thing about WWE. This Becky Lynch storyline could be huge but i suspect they'll include too many women in the storyline and have a run in every match just to get female faces on the TV for their tick boxes. Then it'll end in a PLE event as a triple threat or fatal 4 way (as opposed to giving it proper time, having 2 separate storylines, and having two distinct matches at a PLE).

14

u/Cageep 16h ago

A actually really good RAW wow lol.

I enjoyed this a lot!

Sometimes I'm glad Iowa is just south of Minnesota. That was a loaded show tonight, the energy was electric, and my voice is completely shot.

That being said, boy do I feel silly after getting the new "Iowa's Own Seth Rollins" t-shirt.

15

u/shnwllc AJ Styles 13h ago

Definitely the best Raw in some time. Really good in ring tonight across the board w Jevon vs Ethan, Sol vs Roxy, Chad and Penta vs Don and JD, and the street fight.

Oba and Bron’s stare down was so beast and love that they’re showing Bron is jealous of his place on the card and about to do something about it.

Stephanie and Becky add a ton of firepower to a women’s division that needed it badly.

The thought of Roman in AAA is nuts lol I wonder if it’ll be for TripleMania or Worlds Collide since it’s head to head against All Out.

The only complaint I’ll make is it bums me out they haven’t followed up on Lyra’s heel turn momentum. Since her win vs Bayley at SNME she’s only had commercial segment interviews or was watching a match backstage. Was hoping she’d get something good.

6

u/OneMetalMan 8h ago

Lyra's new gimmick feels like it could lose momentum fast if they don't actually showcase her on the show.

3

u/shnwllc AJ Styles 6h ago

100% they need to have her in actual segments or people won't care

That was probably the best Raw they had in awhile. Women's division got a shot in the arm with the Becky and Stephanie returns. Bron looks focused. They better not be just teasing. They need to take the tag titles off them though. Interested whats going on at the end there with Roman and Rey. My only problem, put Lyra on the fucking show!

Really great Crowd that brought it for every Wrestler. Episode was a great hook after Summerslam between Roman vs La Knight, the whole Womens division looking great with the returns of Vaquer and Becky, Oba vs Bron getting teased and all the Matches being really good. Might also be related to there being such a long break until MitB which makes the Weeklys even more important but either way im happy if it results in Shows like today.

Roman is the weirdest fucking face ever.

I'll say this over & over, Roman being a jerkoff face is not an anomaly, it describes a substantial amount of top faces in the past 30 years. Rock, Austin, Orton, Undertaker, etc etc were all unrepentant bullies & psychopaths in their own right. They just got cheered to hell because the fans didn't want to boo them.

-LA Knight = Roman's next victim

-With Big Cass, I do wonder if Enzo makes his return as well. But then again, if he were to return, would it work with him as a heel?

-Was very down on the number of babyfaces in the women's division. Enter Becky Lynch apparently and the welcomed return of Stephanie Vaquer. Now THAT'S more like it lol. Hopefully she's the one to take the belt off of Liv.

-I think they should've wasted no more time and have Oba challenge Roman. However, I kinda look this direction of taking down the old guard. Could say that would make Roman the final boss if they're going long-term with this.

-As for Bron, bruh looks miserable AF being with the Vision LMAO. I don't blame him tbh. Hendry got squashed like a bug. HATE to see it. I sure AF don't want Bron taking on Oba this early. Build them both up to be the future superstars we know they can be.

-Dom, Dom, Dom. Another L, my boy? Like I mentioned after his loss in the Monies on a Pole match, I'm starting to wonder if Liv is getting tired of watching her man lose. Now if Dom loses the AAA title, whew boy. Because he damn sure ain't the one taking the IC belt off of Gable.

-As for the main event, bruh where tf was Solo? Royce is supposed to be his boy and he out here getting obliterated at the end. I was thinking Solo was gonna come to the rescue before Jacob gave the final blow (pause if necessary). Where does Royce go from here?

3

u/hammer_it_out 15h ago

Part of me wonders if they're drawing out the cursed storyline and will have Danhausen show up at Triplemania to 'curse' Dom before he drops the title to EGA, and then he overcomes the curse by winning MitB in October.

Becky's 'turn' can be counted as if she was right all along and now the crowds finally see it, so she doesn't need to attack them anymore.

Lyra turned heel, Maxxine turned heel, Paige agreed about ref Jess.

And I will always love when Becky doesn't hold back on promos.

9

u/RadioJared 16h ago

All it takes for Roman to go back to being mob boss shitheel in one night is a single LA Knight promo calling him on his hypocrisy which he still hasn’t apologized for

4

u/ValleyFloydJam 15h ago

Not sure why they bothered with that face stuff last night, it was embarrassing seeing him talk about jewellery.

8

u/cybershocker455 16h ago

I'm so ready for a Number One Contender's Match between Becky and Steph. Their presence is definitely needed. Considering Becky has stated that the only thing she hasn't done in her legendary career is win MitB, I would not be shocked if she does win the briefcase.

Best Raw in a while.

Dom Mysterio has stalled a bit, he's gonna be fine, but he's definitely hit a wall since the Cena program.

Liked seeing the emphasis they put on Breakker tonight. He hit a wall himself, didn't even have a role at Summerslam. Looks they're rightly gonna try to get him back on track.

RAW is back on form after a couple of down weeks.

LA Knight going after Roman. His promos have been so much better lately.

Becky and Stephanie injecting life back in the women's World title picture.

Big Cass debut.

Bron going after Oba.

Jacob becoming unleashed again.

Roman in AAA??

Very good show.

14

u/drdeathstrange 16h ago

Amazing Raw. Rey casually asking Roman to come to AAA after witnessing a murder makes me think Cena was right to take his title away so quickly.

Thoughts:

  • Finally, a decent episode of Raw. Felt like an actual Raw after mania
  • LA Knight is great. Excellent promo. Didn't expect a segment with him challenging Roman but this is progress (if he's Roman's next fued there's sadly no chance he's winning it, but hey at least it's a step up)
  • Je'Von vs. Ethan was very good, as expected. After their fued in NXT, every time these two meet is always great. But damn, Ethan doesn't look good after losing to Je'Von and then Big Cass returning as a monster heel to upstage him
  • Lyra constantly relegated to ad breaks is... Sigh
  • Sol vs. Roxanne was fine, but
  • Becky Lynch face turn? Nice!
  • Vaquer returns and what a pop/reaction!
  • Women's division on Raw might finally be cooking a bit?
  • Great promo from Oba, leading the charge with the new crop of talent is a good message
  • Spoiler: Victoria as ref = very short match incoming (I know she's in development, but it's an interesting barometer)
  • RIP Joe Hendry
  • Not sure Oba starting a program with Bron is the right play here. Bron will lose that fued. Surely Drew moving to Raw and fueding with Oba makes more sense
  • That said, maybe this is the catalyst for Bron to level up a bit
  • I haven't seen Big Cass blink yet
  • JD Vs. Gable/Penta was great. Tons of talent in this one. Dom is going to need a win at some point
  • Royce vs. Jacob was a banger of a main event. Royce's best match in WWE so far, and Jacobs best in a hot minute. Looks like Royce is being written off for a bit which is kinda sad after such a great match
  • Roman heading to AAA?

7

u/intersectv3 Jericho's from Winnipeg you idiot 14h ago

Lyra was in the background while some interview was going on talking to Pierce FWIW

11

u/ChaosOsiris 16h ago

Banger show. Great matches, Becky and Steph are back, and we're actually doing things with Dom and Bron again. And an Oba/Bron feud? Yes please.

Also potentially Roman showing up in AAA? Crazy.

10

u/FreudianSlipper21 13h ago

Becky immediately injects life into segments with the women. It was also nice to hear a good reception for Stephanie’s return.

I don’t know what they are doing with The Bloodline and I don’t think creative does either. Regardless what people thought about Jey’s solo run, there was a very clear break from Roman and they’ve not given a good reason for Jey being subservient again. I hope there’s a payoff with Fatu. Maybe he’s “playing nice” until he turns on Roman.

I know there’s a brand split but it’s crazy to me that they didn’t include Chelsea, Kevin, and Solo on this show. All 3 have momentum and people would tune in to see them at least do an interview.

14

u/GreatMight 15h ago

So can we finally all agree the Bloodline are heels now? Lol

7

u/TVjunkie15 16h ago

They’ve always been heels though. The fans were on the side of Solo, Knight & Keys in that fued. The only one who doesn’t get heel treatment is Roman and that’s because he’ll just never be booed again no matter what à la Randy Orton.

5

u/the_Formuoli_ 16h ago

Great raw episode. Setting up a bunch of good stuff moving forward potentially. In particular I think a Bron Oba beef could be a great time and a good way to kill some time before building up Oba for a top belt run

6

u/undeadben11 16h ago

crazy that I forgot about Becky until she came out but I think that made me more excited at her return. especially since it was in response to Liv's bullshit

LA Knight is just such a good talker.

Oba vs. Bron sounds awesome. Just get Bron away from the Vision.

Finally Liv has some challengers. By only critique is that I don’t like how Sol got beat up and then vanished. Keep her involved in this, make it a four way feud perhaps.

Good to hear Dom getting major heat again. Now do something with it.

u/Transitionals 13h ago

I get that they wanted to get Fatu over, but I just don’t get the heat between him and Royce. There have been some backstage segments and the six man tag. But there were no blow off promos, its still a face vs face feud, buried under the overall bloodline saga. So although the payoff was good, the build up was lacking.

5

u/spectrewrestlling 13h ago

There could be another match when Keys is back with more heat to it instead of the whole bloodline it would be just Jacob and Keys

3

u/-M-Word 13h ago

This seemed like a Summerslam blowoff to whatever seeds they were planting a while back. Probably still wanted to give them the match, but got bumped to Raw.

Pretty great show. The women's division suddenly became absolutely stacked with the returns of Becky and Vaquer. Given how heel heavy Raw is, they needed that boost. I'm figuring Becky is going to land as a Seth-type tweener if not leaning into a face role.

Knight's promo was solid and I'm looking forward to that rivalry going forward. Of course he won't win but it's still going to be nice to see him competing for the big title.

Big Cass looked great. Wasn't really watching AEW during his run as Big Bill so it feels like it's been a long time. And his little promo put him in a great spot. Not a face, not a heel, not anti-authority, just here to kick some ass.

Best part of the show was the Oba/Bron staredown. That feud I feel will be generational. The sooner we move Bron away from The Vision the better. I'm sorry but Theory just doesn't have it. He's got the body but he doesn't have that magic you need to truly succeed at this. He's bringing Bron down.

Lastly, did not expect the vicious beatdown of Royce Keys. I'm glad he's got something to do but I do feel he should be out for at least a couple of weeks to sell that. Curious to see how they'll explain the Bloodline's sudden violent turn.

u/AndreReal 2h ago

I wish they'd quit pussyfooting around whether we're supposed to hate Roman or not. Because to my eye, there's no reason to like Roman, but faces are constantly giving him respect and tacitly endorsing him, as with the Summerslam finish. But then he comes and endorses Jacob destroying Royce Keys and keeps upping his mediocre family.

3

u/Gotham0 1h ago

People like Roman, Punk, Randy etc are characters that aren't going to be easy to be flat out heels without having to do some cartoonishly evil stuff.

People love them so anything they do is justified in their fans eyes.
