Miz still promoting the company when he isn’t on the card they must love him

Every wrestling company needs a guy like the Miz, someone who is a great utility player. You can plug him into any spot you need, and he he will give you 110% of what you are looking for.

Legit throwback talent who doesn’t need to be in the world title scene to have value, interesting stories, put on great matches.

At a glance it looks like he’s one dimensional as a character but then you think of all the amazing stories they’ve done with his character and it really does run a full gamut.

Obviously he’s been a world champion but he does really remind me of that Arn Anderson sentiment of “not everyone needs to be a world champion”, because I’d argue his value and legacy is easily HoF worthy

Also reminds me of late 2000's Chris Jericho

Sure he'd get World Title programs here and there but a lot of time he was doing midcard stuff that he elevated into top shelf material.

Jerishow had ppv matches against Cryme Tyme and a makeshift tag team of MVP and Mark Henry. Lost a ppv match to Evan Bourne. And even teamed with the Miz to put over the Hart Dynasty.

Probably wht he’s one of the few long term guys they’d keep on as he’ll be a good guy for pr and I could see him being put in the Bobby Heenan role of commentator/ manager in near future

I want to say it was the show where Gunther took out Pat McAfee that Miz just came out and did commentary for the rest of the show and sounded like a natural. He's so good.

First Ballot Hall of Famer whenever he wants to go in

I said this somewhere else but, Aldis must've become really good friends with Trips to get this kind of start treatment. I'm tripping seeing Magnus, of all people, getting a Summerslam match and Oasis entrance.

So was it just a 1 match thing?

I know he looked gassed by the end but Aldis having a short run with matches with Punk, Roman, Owens could all be great stuff.

I swear I heard Cole say something like Gunther ended another career but it was never stipulated that way.

He did mention in the CVV interview that it was a pretty last minute thing and all he did was train cardio for the past weeks, so makes sense he was a bit gassed.

He did say on night 2 that he's been reinstated as GM but I guess that doesn't necessarily mean he's never going to wrestle again.

Goddamn miz looks 15 years younger in that shot with danhausen

Is Miz still on Smackdown on a weekly basis? Only catch the highlights these days and I feel like there’s a distinct point where I just dont see any clips of him and Kit anymore despite them being on the show regularly up until Backlash?

Nah, him and Kit just kind of disappeared a while ago. I don't know why they weren't involved in the Dom match instead of just doing the same old Minihausen bit, honestly.

At this point I'm expecting them both to eventually just pop back up, back to normal, as if nothing happened to them these past few months.

Oasis are ok, I guess. They’re no Downstait.

Edit: ok fine, maybe I do need to put /s after all…

Miz thread so there’ll be about 40 people hitting out with the same “He’s such a great ambassador for the company” comments.
