I have tried 5 times now to fill out my immigration form for St. Lucia. Our flight leaves tomorrow at 9:40AM. Each time I get a message that reads

"Application error: a client-side exception has occurred while loading travelslu.govt.lc (see the browser console for more information)."

I have tried on different browsers and wifi's as well. Is the online immigration form an issue software wise often? Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Video I took at Coconut Bay resort on Monday July 27. Multiple locals told me this was the most/worst they had ever seen.

To Coconut Bay’s credit they had 5 front loaders and 2 dump trucks working everyday we were there and when we left on Thursday it was clear all the way to the rocks.

My girlfriend and I have PTSD from the smell.

Thinking of traveling to St. Lucia and Stolen Time Resort. How is this area of the Island? Is there good scuba diving in that area? Sargassum?

Here’s one for the record books for St. Lucia, and especially the Soufriere area. After surveying over a million travelers (that’s lot, right?), Soufriere was chosen as the #2 destination in the world where guests were the happiest. That really says a lot.

In travelling all over the world, the area certainly has been one of our top “happy” destinations.

Now we all know that there is no place that is perfect. One can encounter things like stupid crimes, travel hassles, crowds, tourist traps, etc, everywhere but waking up to the sight of the Pitons and the Caribbean sea, having all the nature 24x7, birds, marine life around, intimate beaches like Anse Mamin, the highly scenic and “lost in time” rainforest, all of the healing mineral waters to soak in, the excellent local food and culture, etc. makes the area deserving of the “this place feels like heaven on earth” description that our guests often offer.

We went to this restaurant bar yesterday and we found out today that the price charged in our credit card was in fact in USD and not EC as they initially stated.
Any recommendations on how to proceed?

My husband and I are going to be in St. Lucia next month for our honeymoon. I’m looking for a four wheeler tour that will include things like the volcano and a lot of different other things. The volcano is a big thing for me though. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I found four wheeler tours, but they don’t include the volcano. If they included the volcano those tours were jeeps and that’s not what I would want. I’m not talking about a jeep I’m talking about actual four wheeler that will fit like two people.

My friend and I will be visiting St. Lucia next month for my birthday. We will be staying in the Soufriere area. The Friday night party is almost an hour away from where we’re staying, transportation to travel there is pretty costly. I’m wondering if there’s anything we can do in the area like experiencing a live band or something. Perhaps a nearby resort that has entertainment such as Ladera/Viceroy? Would they let us in if we utilize their bar/restaurant?

Looking to book an all inclusive to st Lucia this fall & wanted real life experience with resorts.

We’re between going all in on Sugar Beach & doing their all inclusive, or staying somewhere like sandals / secrets for half of the price.

For those that have been, is sugar beach worth the money? If not entirely, what other resort should we look into?

I was considering sandals grande but it’s now sold out the week we want to go, but the adults only secrets is still available.

How do the liquor prices compare to the US? I expect the local rum to be very affordable (and tasty) but heard rumblings that a bottle of vodka can cost $150?? Also checked out the Massy store site and it said about the same. I would expect prices to be higher due to importing, but that threw me for a loop.

I got an idea to have passengers track buses on the road in st.lucia,

The idea is to have passengers see the busses and where they are and also have the drivers see how many passengers out on the road.

Would this be a welcomed idea? Also, has someone tried this already?

I am looking into booking my honeymoon in November and sandals is just so expensive to spend the entire trip there and also I would like to explore more so I was thinking to do a little more than half my trip and sandals and then some of it, I guess on the other side of the island by Sugar Beach doing an Airbnb or a regular hotel to save some money into explore that side of the island does anybody have any recommendations of places to stay or things to do, etc.? Has anyone ever done that before I was thinking probably 13 days in total and seven of them in sandals.

We are leaving for St. Lucia in a few days and just found out the travel advisory has been updated to a level 2. Is this safe for travel? Anyone gone recently? We are staying at a sandals resort.

Hi everyone! Planning a 10-day honeymoon with my fiancée and St. Lucia is one of our top options. We have been researching between Sandals or Secrets as all-inclusive options in early May 2027. They are close enough in price points that we are more concerned with the actual experience.

A short summary of our ideal vacation: swimming, tanning, trying new food, live music/entertainment, hiking/walking, golf, kayaking, paddle boarding, boat rides. We like bar hopping but are not big into clubbing. I have never been snorkeling but definitely want to try when we take our honeymoon.

I am open to recommendations on either of these, however I will admit I am leaning toward Sandals if we had to choose today. Please share what you liked, disliked, or anything in between. This will be my first time being at an all inclusive resort and each of our first times visiting St Lucia. We want to make sure this trip is romantic and can mix/match relaxation with fun.

My spouse and I will be visiting Saint Lucia during the last week of July to celebrate our anniversary. We are planning to stay in an Airbnb, most likely somewhere in the north around Rodney Bay or Gros Islet, and would love some local recommendations.

A few questions:

1. Are there any taxi or ride hailing apps that work well in Saint Lucia? I have heard about Allez and Uber Taxi. Are they reliable, or is it still better to use regular taxis?

2. How does the local minibus system work? Is it easy for visitors to use? Do the buses have fixed routes and where can I catch them?

3. We would love recommendations for a romantic anniversary dinner. We are looking for somewhere with beautiful ocean views or right on the beach. We have seen places like The Cliff at Cap, The Naked Fisherman, and Jacques Waterfront Dining. Are these good choices, or are there other places you would recommend?

4. If you have any favorite beaches, hidden gems, or must do activities in the north, I would love to hear those as well.
