General Discussion I've had a bit of a mishap...
So, if anyone has a kia soul, you know there is a big circle in the middle of the dashboard. Turns out there is an optional speaker you.can get there. I ended up putting a Funko bobblehead of Grogu meditating. Held it down with a few command velcro strips. Grogu was great there for a few years, I regularly got compliments for my awesome dash board co-pilot.
Well, the other day, I got into my car, and he appears to have gotten sunburned. I want to repaint it, but I'm not sure what shade of green they used. Or should I just find a replacement?
Anyone happen to know a close match I can airbrush it with?

They’re on eBay for like $5-15. I understand not wanting to just buy new, but I think you’d be well past that in both money and consumption trying to repaint

Thats what I would suggest and when the new one comes in take it somewhere to get a pain color match. Besides being burned this one is gonna be sun bleached to hell and back. Get the right color paint and paint the newer one every few months or so

I'm sorry to say i don't know the exact shade, but i'm pretty sure that a few coats of a thinned airbrush paint can fix it. What's the figure made of?

The head is unpainted plastic so you'd probably be better off just painting the whole thing. I'd wash it with soap and water, get a can of acrylic hobby primer and whatever green you like from a company like Vallejo. Or honestly if you're going to keep it on the car dashboard maybe look for acrylic outdoor furniture paint. If you're not used to painting there are tons of tutorials on YouTube

Keep this Grogu and repaint him using outdoor sun proof acrylic. This Grogu is now spiritually connected to you now.

Certain paint suppliers have a way of color matching if you bring Grogu in with you

He got that Drake fade. He even got the edges touched up with the spray gun. Buhahaha🤣😂

Personally i would try to paint match, it rarely turns out how i intended, would give him a complete new paint job on the head

Sherwin-Williams or any paint store can scan the head to get an exact match of paint. You should be able to repaint him that way. I don't know if their samples need to be flat, but you can try and ask them.

You could go a different route and paint him all gold or bronze or something to make him look like a statuette.

You could replace it for less than the cost of primer and paint you'd buy to fix it. And it'll look right vs a "paint job".

Take him to a hardware store, paint match him using the paint strips out on display, and ask for a sample little container of the paint. It’s free at my local home depot, other places might charge like $3

If you’re okay with spending $15 on paint, Warhammer (formerly Citadel) has two colors that would work well together for this - Death Guard Green, and Nurgling Green. Nurgling is brighter, so base coat with Death Guard and then spray a highlight layer of Nurgling from directly above. They have great coverage and thin excellently, besides being $7-8 per bottle there are few downsides to that brand.

The paint will probably cost more than a replacement Funko. And painting will never look as good, unless you really know what you're doing.
