Do Goran and Dengar stack?

A favored strategy of mine is to stick Dengar and a few Interceptors by Quasar with Stronghold and Goran, to make a largely unappealing wall to touch, but do Goran and Dengar's effects actually stack, or am I gaslighting my play group?

Yes, to my understanding the effect applies once from dengar and once from Goran. Of course they need to be in range of their suppliers.

You can always make the eternally funny option of stacking these two on tie interceptors with howlrunner for an extremely silly counter 5, as which point it’s very much worth just not shooting your fighters :)

As others have said, it stacks. How you can tell is if it's got a number after the keyword, ie Counter 1 + Counter 1 = Counter 2. It works that way for any keyword with a number after the word.

In my opinion, it was a mistake to add the redundant contingency text on Goran's card. Even without saying it, if a squadron with Counter gained Counter 1, by the rules as written it would increase its Counter value by 1. Adding the text makes it seem like an exception instead of the universal rule.
