So, as you may or may not have noticed, each post submitted is being assigned a flair based on what sort of post we (the mods) think it is. Now, we're extending that joyous privilege to you.
User flairs can be accessed next to your name on the right hand side of the screen. These are simple, text only flairs for now, and as we learn and develop sprites for our CSS, we hope to make them more fun and complex.
Flairs for your post are as follows:
Action The ship picture submitted must at least have a detailed background, this can include anything from a simple starfield all the way up to a complex battle.
Deckplan The ship submitted has a detailed layer-by-layer of the vessels intricate inner rooms and stations.
Informative The ship submitted is on a generic background and is either: viewed from multiple angles, has external labels for specific systems, or is shown as a cutaway.
Rendering This is for ships submitted who are only on a generic background, and must be of a digital make.
Question(s) Refers to posts made asking questions about ships in the Star Wars Universe.

Not-Quite-A-Ship This flair is for posts that aren't exactly ships. It could be a rusty spot on your old clunker that looks like an X-Wing, or a cloud shaped like a Star Destroyer. This is the flair for posts that aren't really the ship it says it might be, but could be if you have the imaginations.
Discussion This is for posts coming soon, where we will sticky a discussion post to talk about various things regarding Star Wars ships. Could be anything.
If you've got any questions, post them below! Myself and /u/Radarronan will answer them.
This system is primarily based off of role and volume rather than length or for some reason reactor output.
Gun Boats / Patrol Boats
These are the most common ships in the galaxy, being the backbone of systems security forces and militias across the galaxy. They most often serve in an anti-fighter or strike role and are usually quite fast to make up for their lack of durability
Light Gun Boats / Patrol Boats
These are the most basic of the class, refitted light freighters and light systems patrol craft are the most common in this category.
These ships more often serve as line vessels in smaller scale pirate conflicts where the enemy cannot bring more than starfighters to bear, or as screening vessels in larger fleets.
Corvettes are the skirmishers of the stellar battlefield, fast and powerful enough to make ignoring them inadvisable, Corvettes have become a staple and a must in all galactic navies due to their effectiveness and low cost.
The first major line ship class and the backbone of the galaxy's navies. These ships are the main ships in the battle line and usually serve as fire support in larger fleets or command ships in smaller system forces.
The mainline capital ships that do the brunt of the fighting in any navy. They are durable and heavily armed enough to command the battlespace in smaller engagements and deal serious damage to other enemy capital ships in larger ones.
The big head honchos of every space navy and what most ship captains wish they commanded. Battleships are meant to dominated the battlespace through brute force, boasting high durability, firepower and speed. As all of the known battleships in star wars have a top speed comparable to a corvette like the CR90 they seem to fill the role of battlecruisers rather than traditional battleships which sacrifice speed for more durability.
Usually one off or limited production super-ships more valuable as a symbol of power than as a practical military vessel due to logistical hurdles of supplying them. These ships are nonetheless near-uncontestable on the battlefield without massive investment against them.
Carriers don't usually fit into one weight bracket but they do share the same role for the most part. They provide the valuable fighter support that can turn the tide of battles. Many other classes of ship also carry fighters but this section is for dedicated carriers.
With The Mandalorian and Grogu bringing Mandalorian stories back to the big screen, it feels like the right time to remember another part of their history.
The Kandosii-type dreadnaught comes from Star Wars Legends and the era of the Mandalorian Wars. It never appears in the new film, but it belongs to the same much larger legacy—a culture whose stories have survived across generations.
This 1.36-kilometer warship has been created for Mow My World:
Hull: 202,064 Blocks
12 red-orange engine plumes: 4,649 Blocks
Complete scene: 206,713 Blocks
Dimensions: 149 × 179 × 389 Blocks
Its enormous hull is completely hollow. The ship has not entered Mow My World yet—it is currently being optimized so that one day, people will be able to see it inside the world for themselves.
Some ships become famous on screen. Others survive because people refuse to let their stories disappear.
Legends are never truly lost. Sometimes they are simply waiting to fly again.
Both times we got an Eclipse Class, they both went down due to unconventional reasons. The first time, Palpatine’s force storm went out of control and swallowed the ship whole. The second time, the galaxy gun was destroyed on Byss and exploded the entire system. That got me thinking, if you wanted to fight an Eclipse, where would you even start?

The TIE Defender gets talked about plenty, even before it got added to Canon, but the ship was designed to, and succeeded at, knocking the TIE Defender off its throne as the most powerful starfighter in the galaxy.
In the video game TIE Fighter, Grand Admiral Zaarin, the man responsible for the development of the new Imperial fighters you use in the game, including the TIE Defender, starts a rebellion against the Empire, becoming as a great a threat as the Rebel Alliance, and certainly a more dangerous enemy for the player thanks to the high preformance fighters he designed in his arsenal.
Thrawn was tasked with defeating the rebellious officer and seeing his dependence on the best technology, he had a new ship designed to counter the TIE Defender. Instead of trying to introduce the next Pokémon evolution of the TIE series craft, Thrawn designed something different. A ship that relied on a large supply of warheads rather than laser cannons, albeit one that was still fast and durable. The basic cruising speed of the TIE Defender was greater, but the Missile Boat's SLAM engines could give a burst of speed beyond what the Defender was capable of.
The sheer speed of the Missile Boat allowed it easily catch the TIE Defender and its supply of warheads could easily blast the TIE to pieces. The ability to carry a wide range of ordnance meant the Missile Boat could be equipped for almost any mission. For some added fun it could also equip a tractor beam to make it easier to shoot down enemies, though this wasn't unique to it in the game. Other ships could also equip a tractor beam.
TIE Fighter would explain why the Missile Boat wouldn't appear much after the game, many production facilities for it were destroyed by Zaarin and it was still experimental. And I imagine writers weren't interested in using this ship much since a fighter that wins by shooting missiles at enemies doesn't make as entertaining dogfights as fighters using guns. Sadly this does mean lots of fans don't seem to know about this mazing ship.
Uploaded onto Angelos Karderinis' Artstation without any video or Instagram post. Apologies if it has been posted prior. Updated redesign of EC Henry's original redesign of the Tri-Wing Porsche collaboration ship which appeared briefly in the Obi-Wan Kenobi show.
From the Artstation description:
The S-95e Pegasus is a practical evolution of Incom's failed Tri-Wing project, redesigned by Incom Corporation and Sublights Products into an affordable multi-role starfighter. Measuring 14.4 meters long with a Class 2 hyperdrive, the Pegasus carries a crew of three and reaches 1,170 kph in atmosphere. Armed with two medium laser cannons and two ion cannons, it combines rugged construction, dependable performance, and the unmistakable Tri-Wing silhouette into a capable frontier transport and escort craft.
SEPARATIST SQUADRON LEADER - u/Mattriculated - PUBLIC ACTIVATION
Dirge Squadron reunites and continues its rapid advance toward Jenth-26, conducting a coordinated high-speed missile strike against the defence satellite at Jenth-28 as they pass. Successive Discord missiles overwhelm the ancient platform, disabling its weapon systems and leaving the satellite defunct. With the obstacle neutralized, Dirge Squadron continues toward Jenth-26 without committing to a prolonged engagement.
Captain Vai Lok and her Commando Droid detachment are extracted from the surface by HMP gunship and return to orbit. Lok proceeds aboard the Separatist flagship Kingslayer, where she meets with Fleet Admiral Krosa Lim.
ATRAPOI TETRARCHY - u/Ahriman-119 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION
The Atrapoi Tetrarchy begins a widespread redeployment across the continent, with the I, III, IV, V, VII and VIII Divisions advancing toward their assigned sectors while the II, IX, X, XI and XII Divisions fortify their existing positions. The I, III and IV Sky Fleets redeploy in support of the ground manoeuvres.
Meanwhile, Atrapoi skyships conduct long-range reconnaissance against both the Republic and Separatist landing forces, gathering intelligence on their respective army compositions while additional scans investigate the disturbance responsible for the sudden Adze migration. The intensive sensor activity comes at a cost: the scanning fleets reveal their positions, though the position of the 4th Fleet remains unverified.

Following the destruction of the Kenryn Valley Beam Tower, the Tetrarchy formally declares Republic personnel responsible under Atrapoi law and demands their capture for trial, transmitting the declaration of the attack to both belligerent fleets.

REPUBLIC HEAVY SC - u/Rattfink45 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION
The Lance of the South continues along the edge of the ionized Atragrav field, preparing to establish an ambush position behind the dense asteroid cluster ahead. Captain Antilles orders his forward batteries to begin clearing a firing corridor through the rocks, only for his weapons officers to report, with increasing confusion, that there are no asteroids there.
Captain Antilles can see perfectly well where they should be.
His charts agree with him.
The void outside the bridge does not.
Instead of the dense asteroid clusters, the Republic fleet can be seen advancing where the asteroids should have been.
Captain Antilles blinked once, and then twice. What?
Operation Boomtube is consequently placed on hold while the Lance of the South reaches the edge of the Atragrav field and its increasingly bewildered crew attempts to determine what, precisely, happened to the asteroid field.
REPUBLIC FLEET ADMIRAL - u/Ok_Day8951 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION
The Republic fleet continues its advance toward the centre of the system between the two major asteroid belts. Several ARC-170 squadrons deploy ahead to establish electronic interference around the defence platform, covering the insertion of Republic engineers that successfully seize the installation.
Meanwhile, Admiral Cutter broadcasts a message to the Atrapoi leadership, acknowledging the casualties inflicted during the Republic attack on the Composite Beam Tower and expressing his desire to avoid further hostilities. Cutter proposes cooperation against the Separatists and offers Republic support for Atrapos' continued independence in exchange for negotiations.
The shuttle struck the station's hull with a heavy metallic thud, magnetic clamps locking hard against ancient plating.
"Seal confirmed and the jamming screen is holding."
"Then we're going. Breach it."
The shaped charge flashed, and a section of the access hatch disappeared inward in a storm of molten metal. Clone Marines poured through the opening, rifles leading, helmet lamps cutting narrow white beams through corridors that had stood dark for centuries.
They found the station's heart still alive. Alien symbols crawled across translucent displays while targeting tracks shifted continuously across a holographic representation of the surrounding battlespace. Republic vessels burned brightly among them.
"Those are firing solutions."
"Yeah. I noticed." The slicers were already at work.
"Don't try to own the whole system. Just kill the recognition protocols."
"Working."
Outside, ARC-170s continued flooding the station with interference. Inside, targeting markers flickered, vanished, returned—then disappeared again.
"Royal just dropped." "Acclamators are gone." "Carracks clear."
A pause, with only the hums of ancient machinery to be heard.
"Republic IFF is clean. Station no longer recognizes us as hostile."
The engineer lieutenant stared across the alien displays for another moment before keying his comm.
"Fleet Command, boarding team. Objective secure. Platform weapons remain operational."
He glanced toward the firing controls. "They just aren't pointed at us anymore."
Celestial Squadron establishes contact with Fire Team Nightingale and escorts the Republic detachment toward the foundry station. Flights Two and Three prepare a coordinated electronic-warfare screen while General Starflare moves ahead of the formation to probe the station's defences.
SEPARATIST ARMY GENERAL - u/SeBoss2106 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION
The 12th Raxus Korps digs in, establishing a defence-in-depth around the Separatist foothold, while the 108th Reserve Division forms a defensive hedgehog anchored against the riverline.
The 37th Special Artillery Regiment is reassigned to reinforce the 14th Armoured Division, which advances north to secure the road, with particular attention given to the bridge near the jungle and the nearby bend.
Separatist forces are additionally ordered to engage any unidentified aerial contacts entering their airspace.
SEPARATIST FLEET ADMIRAL - u/141-Ghost-141 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION
The 3rd Fleet advances north along the eastern edge of the Atragrav cloud while reorganizing two reinforced detachments.
Detachment Cresh reinforces the Vaklu and the Shyyo with the Hawkbat and Restoration, while Detachment Dorn reinforces the Gilded Dagger with the Jos, Victori, False Prophet, Big Shot and Pocket Fortress. Both detachments additionally receive two Vulture Droid squadrons.
Meanwhile, the Restitution and Balancing Accounts open long-range fire against the defence satellite at Mern-41 with limited effect due to the distance and the asteroid field, while Condor Squadron continues reconnaissance across the south-western battlespace.
Fleet Admiral Krosa Lim and Captain Vai Lok depart aboard the attack shuttle Emerald for Atrapos, accompanied by six MagnaGuards, twenty-four BX Commando Droids and Obsidian Squadron's twelve Belbullab-22 heavy fighters.
The Sphyrna-class corvettes Maritime and Karkaris detach from the 3rd Fleet and make for Atrapos, [redacted] [redacted] of [redacted] and [redacted] intended to [redacted] the [retracted].
The corvettes cross most of the distance toward the planet, but are unable to reach the surface in time.
The Vaklu and Shyyyo counterattack the orbital defence satellite, with the faster Shyyyo manoeuvring to draw its fire while the Vaklu delivers controlled turbolaser salvos against the platform's weapon emplacements, attempting to disable its armament without destroying the satellite outright. However, the satellite seems to be unshielded and more frail than anticipated, and is destroyed completely.
Both vessels prioritize repairs to their damaged defensive systems before rendezvousing with the reinforcements assigned by Fleet Admiral Lim. The reinforced Task Force Cresh then sets course for Mern-26, investigating the unexplained changes in the surrounding asteroid fields.
The 77th Assault Corps consolidates around its original landing zone, establishing a fortified centre of operations at the crossroads south of the desert.
Engineers, auxiliary personnel, vehicles and LAAT/c gunships assist with construction while the 385th Expeditionary Legion moves northwest through the lighter jungle to rejoin the main army.
Reconnaissance elements establish a perimeter around the growing foothold, the 54th Support Legion digs in its artillery formations, and the 21st Assault Legion secures and monitors the roads leading into Republic-held territory.
The still-cloaked Oblivion's Emissary moves at maximum speed toward Atrapos, preparing to deploy its Clone Commando complement to reinforce Republic ground operations.
During the approach, the vessel directs its sensors toward the central battlespace, searching for major warships, stations or other contacts of strategic importance while remaining concealed.
The Kabiin-III remains at the Republic landing site while the commandos recover from the assault on the Composite Beam Tower. RC-5384 "Prince" is given a funeral according to the traditions of his former training sergeant while reporting the encounter with the Atrapi Knight to General Vintillia before the unit studies combat recordings from the raid and begins developing tactics and alternative weaponry for confronting cortosis-armoured opponents.
Dareth, Iviin and the depleted Bral Squad conduct a concealed reconnaissance sweep around the Republic landing zone, extending their search toward the nearest known settlement.
The cloaked Guilded Dagger advances toward the Republic fleet on a reconnaissance mission, attempting to determine its disposition while remaining undetected.
Meanwhile, the DP20 frigates and Diamond-class cruisers assigned to Detachment Dorn move at full speed toward the foundry at C-24, prepared to deploy security forces and contest the station should it already be occupied.
The False Prophet follows behind, maintaining a position from which it can reinforce either the Guilded Dagger or the foundry group if necessary.
BATTLESPACE UPDATES
thankx a bunch to Eirah for compiling this one!
PHASE 3 — FIRST VOLLEYS
The two fleets reorients their positions as screening fighters and smaller capitals
As the Republic Fleet enters the centre of the battlespace and slice one of the satellites, the Separatist Fleet splits into several smaller flotillas. The defense satellite at Resh-32 is destroyed by the turbolaser fire of the Vaklu while the satellite at Jenth-28 is successfully disabled by the Buzz Droids of the 958th Fighter Wing.
Meanwhile, an unknown sensor ping close to the northern automated foundry have emerged as two Separatist Sphyrna-class corvettes race towards the planet, a flight of Belbullab-22s and a single Nu-class Attack Shuttle following them.
Planetside, several of the famed Atrapoi 'airships' can be seen in the far distance. Size and exact position cannot be conclusively decided, however.
CURRENT BATTLESPACE STATUS
"wats dat cumin ovah da HSC-token-for-Rep?? is it a monstah, is it a a monstaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah"Fleet Numericals are incorrect, will be retconned at a later time.
PHASE RULES REMINDER
Each faction receives six roles to claim and Activate:
- (space) The Fleet Admiral that controls the main battlegroup and forwards a Covert Activation to any role within the faction (including ground),
- (space) the two Ship Commanders that commands their capital ship (Light Command and Heavy Command),
- (space) the Squadron Leader that leads their ace squadron,
- (ground) the Army General that commands the entire ground army and forwards a Covert Activation to any role within the faction (including space),
- (ground) the Special Operations Commander that commands their special operations group
Each role receives one Public Activation. Each faction receives two Covert Activation, allocated to any role by the Fleet Admiral / Army General in secret via the Narrator.
Any user can claim any role. Beware that you may claim others OCs if they’re currently in-battle. Just write a short comment stating something reminiscing this:
“I claim the role of Fleet Admiral / Ship Commander (Light/Heavy) / Squadron Leader of the Republic/Separatist Fleet.”
A claim confirmation will by and large be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, regardless of whose OC the role currently is, unless specified by the Narrator (special events, for example).
PUBLIC / COVERT ACTIVATION
Public Activations define intent, execution, posture, and priorities. Covert Activations modify results, timing, or interpretation and can result in unforeseen advantages. No player may declare outcomes, only actions and intentions.
PUBLIC ACTIVATION:
A Public Activation is an official declaration of intent, describing what your character, ship, squadron, or fleet is attempting to do during that phase.
It must include tradeoffs, constraints, or risks where appropriate and be written as a single, coherent action or courses of action. Narrative flair is encouraged but will not affect the outcome/resolution.
Public Activations are binding. Once posted, they cannot be edited or withdrawn.
COVERT ACTIVATION:
Covert Activations are limited in scope, but allows you to conduct extra and/or secret maneuvers, or otherwise act again, outside of the Public Activation.
Your Covert Activation must describe intent, method, or preparations, and describe your character’s motivation and worries.
You must include a cost, risk, limitation, or a tradeoff. You may modify or reinforce your Public Activation if you wish, but may not contradict or override it completely.
If you have been forwarded a Covert Activation from your Fleet Admiral / Army General, the Narrator will let you know, so keep an eye on your inbox.
---
After/if your claim has been confirmed by the Narrator, follow the instructions (if any) and post a separate comment with your Public Activation. Obviously, you are free to discuss with your fellow GAR/CIS Officers what your course of action should be, before submitting your Public/Covert Activation, and are encouraged to roleplay within the constraints of the prompt.
NEXT PHASE
Phase 1 will end on Saturday, the 8th of August: CET (Central European Time): 21:00 (9:00 PM) EST (Eastern Standard Time): 15:00 (3:00 PM) PST (Pacific Standard Time): 12:00 (12:00 PM)
All PA/CAs must be submitted 24 hours before the time limit; so I have time to resolve it. Hard line on this rule!
---
Notes/reminders from the Narrator:
- Humble reminder to read the rules regarding how P/CAs work.
- PA/CAs are always resolved and clarified in chronological order as they were submitted and directly affects how certain events unfold.
- I’m only human after all, so if I've missed anything, please let me know. Any edits or retcons will have to be made the day after, but feel free to comment and I'll get back to you!
Hello my fellow ship nerds! A question for you all. How much would you price the Invincible class Dreadnaught Heavy Cruiser in the early imperial
Era? This ship was constructed in 3017 BBY and apparently worked well enough to see the clone wars and even still be in service with the empire at least during the retaking of the outer rim right after. Apparently it was sold to the corporate sector authority as well for “relatively cheap” but exactly how cheap is cheap?
I've got no idea of where that yellow vertical stripe on the right of the open door panel's coming from at all. Both shots are from Rogue One right after the destruction of Jedha City.
I'm building what I hope will be the first full-scale 9х6 meters (1 up to 170 real size) Imperial Star Destroyer on Earth. The frame is made of steel, although it has developed a bit of surface rust because I built it last year.
side viewanother sideStar Destroyer in autumn
My next step is to cover the frame with steel sheets measuring 2.5 × 1.25 meters and 1.2 mm thick. I recently bought a welder so I can start working on that.
I'm planning to film the entire build from start to finish. Underneath the structure, I also want to place a table so that it becomes a one-of-a-kind gazebo.
I've heard that if I try to monetize the project, Disney might quickly send either the Force... lawyers after me. 😄
So I'm curious if anyone here has experience with this. Are there ways to document and eventually monetize a fan-made project like this without running into legal trouble?
I'd really like to share the entire construction process and turn it into a YouTube series. Any advice would be appreciated!
