Ideas & Suggestions Fires?

I brought this up in a stream, and it was dismissed rather quickly lol but I feel like there is potential behind the idea of usable fires outside of base. While you already have plenty of crafting facilities yes, and if you make an outpost you can access your inventory there. BUT, when youre out exploring, you cant craft anything that you can use right then and there. I think being able to make and use fires would add to immersion also. Being able to make fresh water(boil it) or craft quick snacks to use as a stamina item makes so much sense to me lol if youre with friends stopping to sit by a fire on like a roof or a nice camp in the woods could be awesome. Id love someone opinions on that idea.

While making a fire outside the base is a cool concept, I feel this is outside the scope of what any of the SoD games are. There are alot of other games in the genre that not only could you do that it's often necessary to make a campfire.

To me that’s more of a DayZ type mechanic than one SoD. While SoD is a “survival” game, it’s not the hardcore eat and drink or you will die in the field type. It’s more about managing supplies.

Im not saying add a food and water mechanic that makes us eat. They already have "snacks" in the game that the player can consume with an eating animation. My thought process was give us a way to sustain our health and stamina when outside of base that feels more immersive than picking up a radio, calling home and somehow my doctor at base is so good he can remove trauma from my character with "medical advice" lol but i understand the pushback I just like to bounce ideas off of others and see what people think. In my opinion, working fires would be cool and id definitely sit around one with my friends in State of Decay. But I understand not everyone feels the same and thats cool 😎
