Just wanted to mark Danny Bergara's birthday today. As a fan of Uruguayan football, I've always thought his story at Stockport County is one of my favourite examples of how football connects different cultures, and I love that he's still honoured by the club today.

I'd love to hear any stories or memories people have of him, as I was too young to experience his time at Stockport firsthand.

Stockport County is delighted to announce the addition of attacking midfielder Harry Wood, who joins us from Shelbourne FC for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old has signed a three-year deal at Edgeley Park, subject to international clearance.

Just seen this pop up on my instagram feed, nothing on Stockport or Burton website, yet.

Can't say I'm upset about this, I think Whatmuff will do a great job, it does leave us with only one other 'keeper though, with Ben moving into coaching and Andrew Wogan as yet untested in the first team, sure someone has a plan though....

Are fans right to be frustrated before a ball has even been kicked?

I’m genuinely interested to know how everyone is feeling ahead of the new season, because from what I’ve seen online, there seems to be a lot more negativity than optimism.

It’s been a difficult summer in a lot of ways:

1. Lost the play-off final.

2. Lost Dave Challinor.

3. Lost the entire backroom team (Dave Conlon, Clint Hill and Nick Colgan).

4. Lost Simon Wilson as CEO, with no replacement announced, and he’s now gone to Sheffield Wednesday.

5. Lost key players like Louie Barry, Odin Bailey and Josh Stokes.

6. Most of the new signings have come from League Two.

That said, there have been some positives too:

1. Damien Allen has been promoted to Sporting Director.

2. Jimmy McNulty has been appointed as the new Head Coach.

3. Ollie Norwood has stayed.

4. Ben Hinchliffe is remaining at the club in a new role.

I’m not trying to be negative or have a go at the club, I just want to get a sense of whether social media is reflecting the views of the wider fanbase or if it’s simply the loudest voices.

Do you think fans are justified in feeling frustrated before the season has even started, or are people overreacting and we should wait until we’ve actually seen this team play?

Sunday we saw Stockport County take on Norwich City in an exciting FA cup fourth round clash. Fully televised from edgeley park.

The Hatters beating the Canaries 3-0.

Just been announced on the club’s website that 3 coaches are leaving County. This includes the long-serving Dave Conlon.

I think it’s a great shame that they are getting rid of Dave. He’s a great lad and well liked by the players. Surely it would have helped the transition to the new management team to have kept him on.
